Moderatorand £400 does not buy much
consider £400 machine cost but there is £66 vat in that so your only buying the machine for £333. then the retailer has to make a profit. it has to be shipped half way round the world. The manufacturer has to design it and build a factory and employ prople to make and sell it
as you can imagine there is not much left to spend on high quality components

Many thanks for digging up that diagram Dave. There is no sign of a sensor in the fridge freezer. As an aside, the word “cerpanine” is a mystery. Nothing shows up on Google.no its a strange name but they are a turkish company
it will be an NTC thermistor

Moderatori am thinking more than the board
the board cant ( well almost impossible ) blow your trip so i suspect another component that went and took the board with it

Moderatorits the solid lights that matter
cant decide if vits fault 6 or 12
both dont seem to fit symptoms
Have gt a manual for WDL540 and fault 6 is not used on that one
fault 6 is door lock problems and fault 12 is board communication
think its more likely to be F12 so I would check the wires and connections between the 2 boards

Moderatorif they wanted to make the springs go the same way they would have to produce left and right springs and it would make very little difference

Moderatoryes know what you mean but all the ones i have see you end up with ice bergs stuck to the rear wall because of no defrost phase but since only part of the evaporator freezes they dont seem to get that cold
but then dont get too involved with fridges
Dave

Moderatorbut your first statement said the fridge act like a freezer. the very fact it has the power to freeze everything means there cant be a problem with the compressor as its not only getting to the temperature it should switch off its exceeding it
