the door is available in a number of parts

what we need to identify what you want is

    1 product code number ( like 944185042 00)

    2 the part thats broken

find your instruction book and ring them direct

you could ask the site shop and see if they can help

    found this
    http://www.productcare.co.uk/

but make a note not to buy cheap products where the spares can be akward. If you want a cheap dryer buy a british made white knight

if you actually do a compare on the tesco website there is very little difference
one is louder, one has more programmes
go for the cheapest one you like the look of

    Re: Dishwasher quandary

electronics by itself is quite reliable so with or without display does not matter

the reason for switching it off is these machine dont turn off, they go into standby so are powered 24 /7 unless they are switched off at the socket.

as for the price i would guess all the main components are the same and it may be refinements inside that gives the price difference

also prices are a bit out
    using AO
    DFG15B1 ao 188
    HFED110P 218
    FDYB11011P 224
    FDFEX11011P 247

FDUD51110P 379 the only one tesco is in the ball park

see if they can price match first

    Re: Dishwasher quandary

since all of these machines are made by the same company there is not a lot to choose from. parts if needed should not be a problem
you say about non electronic machines but am not sure if any are available

one thing i would do is make sure you can switch the machine off from the socket when not in use. not only does it reduce any fire risks but can extend the life of the timer

wonder if you have fried the module. with the brushes connected for so long and the motor got that hot you may have fried the triac in the motor control board
from what I can remember without going through old manuals the motor board has 2 main terminals on the top and a multiplug at the bottom. try taking off one of the top terminals tape it up and turn on.
I expect the motor not to move

also have you got a multimeter and can you use it ?

pity your so far away from me as we would have got you on the right track quicker. hope you have not damaged the module (electronic motor control) when you fitted the brushes wrong but cant remember a case of it happening but check the module connection in case they have been disturbed. there is a multiconnector at the bottom it always worth taking it off and refitting it to rule out dirty contacts

dont think so those wires feed the water valves so dont affect the motor

yes knew what you were doing but you had to spot it . have just taken a picture of a motor to post but you have found it so all ok

wow this machine is giving you a headache. think those wires feed the valves so will not cause spin problem. examine the wiring harness as it leaves the motor. make sure the plug is in properly and none of the pins have slipped. examine the wire as it goes near the floor of the machine. they can rub through at that point
you fault sounds like a tacho fault. there is a magnet and a small coil at the end of the motor. this tells the module haow fast the motor is. if its broken, wires not joined. or rubbed through. it will just go into spin

    not sure what you mean

if you mean thats where the brush wire was the answer is no

also both brushes have to be in the correct position you have only pictures one of them
