    Re: Fisher Pakayl Dish Drawer

I had similar problems with those buttons and It was a positioning problem from memory
cant quite remember how it fits but check the buttons, and the sensors for them underneath, and how they connect to the pcb

Re: Belling Gas Oven Timer Faulty

yes timer can be faulty as it controls the oven if you want it to cook when you are out

you need not replace the timer if you don’t want to but you would need to bridge it electrically so the oven would work
since we would not condone amateurs working on gas appliances I would suggest you look on this site for a suitable professional who will not only fix the problem but ensure the appliance is safe

you cannot blow into the black pressure switch or you can destroy them
and no it does not click and now it may not work

I assume exactly like the air-con in your car when you use it demist the screen. hit the clothes with dry air and the water will evaporate. by not heating the clothes or by only heating a bit it will be more energy efficient

    @ iadom

was it the 1502 where the knob glowed red when it was on

can see what you mean about the timers changed a few but it was the mechanics that went down the tubes in the 1504

its a shame the whole world has changed. it used to be buy our product its “Quality” now its buy our product its “Cheap”

    Re: Hotpoint 9605 top loader.

they got to the best design on model 1504 before date code 02

    on earlier models.
motor was 4 pole not 2 so motor was running at half the speed.
pump had 4 blades (not 2 ) and water seal and bearing seldom failed in fact it lasted so long the pump valve failed first causing it to bounce causing water to come out in spurts.
there was also a needle roller bearing on a strut on the bottom of the gearbox. to support the pull of the belt. later machines get oil leaks as the lower box bearing wear because its not there
the clutch shoes are like car brake shoes, an ali frame with a friction material bonded to it
