    Re: Bosch WTS84516gb/13 belt change

bit of a strip down to do this

    top off
    rh side off
control panel off then lh Side
    rear cover off
    remove element and rear bearing

what you are trying to do is spring the back out just enough to get the belt round the drum. to do this you will have to release a few more screws and hoses to do this but once the belt is carefully past the seal you can put it together again

getting the belt round the motor is not too bad as this model shows an idler pulley

hope it helps but its harder to write than say

Re: Samsung – "UE" ("unbalanced load") on perfectly good loa

run the machine through a rinse with nothing in it

watch how fast it drains and see if it tries to go into spin with some of the water left in. As it drains you should see the water level fall and it will fall quicker the lower it gets. if it does not seem drain properly you either have a blockage or an pump problem

blockages can be anything but most of the time its cloth based. a build up of fluff or colour catcher are very common as they get lodged in the hoses before the filter

    sound like it.
if it was anything else you would get a display on the screen

before you order take panel out and strip and look for damaged tracks. would not like you to order a panel and find something else caused it

for some reason this part does not seem to be listed in the spares manual
but circlips are standard parts some of the time find a local engineers merchant, take the broken one to them and ask

there are 3 of these cookers with the same model number the correct model will end with X,S or K

looked at one at random but cant see what you mean.
also your cooker man says he cant lay door down but he could take it off and lay it down, fix it and replace it 2 days later

connect and their email enquiry service is a joke

I would either ring qualtex and their staff may sort it on the phone or
ring Stoves ( they are only 5 miles from me ) 0845 408 0050 and see if you can squeeze the part number off them. you will prob find there is not much in it as connect inflates everything

    Re: Currys Essential fridge/freezer (C55CS12)

    there is one long shot

some late compressors use a capacitor to start the motor. cant say if your model is one of them, if it has you should find a small cylinder ( about 1 to 1,5 inches in diameter) with wires going to it. if you find it and look at the writing you will find a value something like 5uF. its going to be something between 4 and 7uF.

if you find it there is no way of checking it has gone without changing it

after that it will either cure it or its scrap

Currys essentials range is a cheap cheap bottom of the market products that will do the job but probably not for long. Also not being a known make spares will be either difficult or not available but capacitors are a universal product and the site shop may have something to fit

at the bottom of the fridge at the back is the compressor
put your hand on it and see if its hot/warm

if yes then power is getting to it and its not starting

if no its probably a thermostat problem

have had a similar problem on a Zanussi ended up it was the power supply on the programmer board. it was ok on wash but the extra power needed to spin lowered the voltage on the board till it crashed then recovered and repeated

ones clipped in and ones screwed ?

does that mean the holes in the front panel are different sizes ?

the clipped ones can be a pain anyway got a home where they keep slamming door and it keeps dropping out

am only guessing here but later models user the instant open type of lock so is one instant and the other a 3 min wait
