ModeratorRe: LG Direct Drive Washing machine making heck of a row
sound like your drum bearings
the motor has a 10year guarantee but the bearings do notwhen the bearing are going you will get rusty water leaking on to the floor at the back of the machine

a condenser dryer needs a cold spot to condense the steam back to water so it can be pumped away. they use a trickle of cold water to do this
so no water supply no drythe condenser kit can only be fitted to a vented dryer and they don’t work that well in my opinion
as for your tap. if its the common tap with a small flag. these flags break easily so remove the flag and use pliers or an adjustable spanner
as a last resort you can kink the inlet hose and tie it so you can disconnect it but it will still need to be sorted soon as fitting very old hose could be a problem if it gets too old and failsDave

ModeratorRe: WMA57 noise on drum movement
a bit vague
take the belt off and spin the drum to make sure its not the bearings
also motor by hand to see if it makes any noise

ModeratorRe: Washing Machine For Single Person?
from what you are saying the machine is over-foaming and coming out of the drawer.
you seemed to have tried everything
if you watch the machine is there a lot of foam inside the drum ?
does it function on the wash ok but do it on the rinses ( if so is the filter clear so it get rid of all the water and is the soap draw clean so it does not re dose)you could also look here

ModeratorRe: Washing Machine For Single Person?
its always a difficult one but as far as load goes look at it this way. the heavier the load the more strength there has to be in the machine components so they may last longer
for my money I still like Bosch. no they are not as good as they used to be but if you want a reasonably good machine with a 2 year guarantee look at Bosch model WAE24167GB have supplied this machine to local care provider over the year and they get battered and seem to last ok
Bosch can be a bit of a mine field but the model above seems to come out okwith ref to the leak on your Beko. is it foam that leaking out the draw or fill water. if its the fill water slowing down the water flow into the machine can make a big difference

ModeratorRe: AEG oven preference stop working
had a quick look at the tech info and nothing springs to mind that’s easy.
this unit has two electronic panel controlling everything and from the way you describe it one of them is not doing its job. the problem is finding out which one. not a job if you don’t know the trade I am afraid. all you can do is check the mains leads to the oven if they are screws are they tight and if its a plug try a different oneDave

ModeratorRe: Panasonic Microwave turntable won’t turn
most turntables are driven by a motor. these motors fail quite often so most of the time that’s all you need to change.
but you state the motor is working. Which motor and if it is the turntable motor how did you test it ?Dave

have always charged a fee to go out since i started almost 40 years ago. lose a few customers who dont want to pay but i dont want that type of client
interesting note from Bazza500 about the tumble dryer element not seen that before so if it happens again i would disconnect all wires to the timer execept the mains in. I know they work like this as i have repaired a few power supplies. that should eliminate any external factors

have you checked the board ?
look for a resistor about 50 to 100 ohms on the power in to the board feeds the power supply chip. if resistor blown change that and the chip and should be ok
look in here

where myself and other members have detailed many machines with a similar fault

ModeratorRe: Bosch WTS84516gb/13 belt change
while your in there check the sump . there is a removable flap where the condenser fits. just unclip it and check. if its bad remove pump and clean out. its easy when you have the LH side off

no that part number is for the pre configured one so it just works
fitted a few of these type of boards but the ones I have fitted go dead completely. in my case they are integrated so tenants leave them on and never turn them off

ModeratorRe: Smeg A42 main oven not reaching temperature
is the fan in the middle of the element turning properly ?
as you turn the stat up and down you can hear it click. set the oven to 100 degrees and wait till the light goes out. when it does if you raise the temp does the light come on againwhat I am trying to establish is what is switching off the element. if its the stat then raising the temp you will hear a click. if its set to 200 degrees and it turns off at 50 then if you lower the stat it will click. if it does not then the stat is doing its job and turning off the heat but at the wrong temp
who supplied the stat ? and what part numbers have you got ?
is the sensor of the stat in the right place?]Dave
