    Re: Hotpoint FFAA52 Not Working

it is obvious something has pulled a lot of current. fitting a new board would only result in the same thing happening. you have to find the reason.
on the second pic something is connected to the connection where the track is damaged. you need to find out what that is first
you may be able to resurect the board by replacing the damaged tracks by wires and soldering them to the componets

dont repair many fridges but where the lights and temp knob is normally the board

board part number should be C00265143 but double check before you order in case there is more than 1 board for this model

it is unlikely the pump is causing your problem. the drain pump is a 2 wire device and has no attached earth.
you state that the tablet has just been released and since the machine has not heated at this point i assume you have it plumbed to hot water otherwise it would be cold
it there any water visible in the base ?

    Re: Hotpoint FFAA52 Not Working

there are a few things it could be

first put you hand on the compressor and see if its warm

if yes there is power going to it therfore fault could be
    1 compressor failure
2 some compressors are capacitor start some are relay and these fail

    if no
circuit board or poss ntc (thermistor which is the temp sensor). but i think if there is a fast freeze button it overrides thermistor but uncertain of that

my bet would be on the board

Re: Hotpoint 17450 motor cutting out

    wow that brings back memories

thats a start relay. the motor has 2 windings. a start winding and a run winding. when you switch on the power to the run winding goes through the relay coil and since the motor is stationary at that point the coil on the relay produces enough magnetism to lift the core inside the relay and closes the top 2 contacts (yell and grey). this energises the start winding and the motor starts. As the motor speeds up the motor current drops and the relay drops out
the start winding is a high current winding but will burn out if left on too long. Also the relay must be in the correct position as it is gravity concious so operating these units on their side or upside down will destroy the motor
the motors have an overload in the windings and it sounds like yours may have failed

Re: Hoover Vision HD condenser dryer showing tank full

    very likely

my reason for saying the above is if the stats go open circuit it can bring the light on. it does on hotpoints and i think hovvers do too but not sure

Re: Hoover Vision HD condenser dryer showing tank full

first check on this would be the thermostats on the heater ( if unit is heating these will likely be ok )

if they are ok most condensor dryers have a float in the bottom that senses water level this could be stuck

sound like a poss board problem. take it if you let it run till it reverses again it still does not kick in

is it the same for auto and timed programmes ?

have you tried it with wet washing ?

have pm’ed you a few bits
