ModeratorRe: Hotpoint BFI 620 dishwasher error code
the honest truth i am not sure. i would have thought it would have pumped first then failed
had a few of these boards where the power supply cap failed on the board but most of the time it would start, fill and fail when the motor or heater kicked in
have you tried to reset programme as these tend to start where they left off unless you reset them ?

ModeratorRe: Asko 10624 faulty timer, shock absorbers.
shocks dont tend to cause this problem
have you checked filter etc because if it cant get rid of the water quickly enough it wont spin

ModeratorRe: Brittania Oven Door Replacement
no you have to lock them first
get a cloth to protect your hands
lay door on floor. push the arm down with one hand and latch the lock with the other and release slowly. if it locks do the same to the other side
you will not get it back if its not locked

first question why complete motor ?
qualtex still do ARM20 armature for the GEC motor. Most of the time new aram and brushes cure it
since GEC motor is not now available you have to convert the later motor
motor C00118057
connector C00202905you will also need an insulation displacement tool (over £100) to attach wires to new plug and figure out the new wiring as i dont think plug is a straight swop (ie 1 to 1 2 to 2 etc)
best fit an arm if you can

ModeratorRe: indesit wia101 smoke coming from drum
sound like the drum spider has failed if so new machine
the drum spider is the carrier for the drum inside the machine. it has 3 legs and i would bet one of yours has corroded and snapped. the end result is when machine spins the inner drum catches the rubber round the door causing noise and smell
