Re: CDA CW496 Matrix reed switch

switch closes when by the magnet and open when its not

these do fail and dont count properly

if you test with meter while blowing it will give you a reading

what is the fault you are getting to suspect this ?

suggest you put a new reed in they are cheap enough

whirlpool doors are a bit like body joints in that they are held together with springs just like you elbow is held with ligaments.

chances are its just mis placed slightly (dis located )

    Re: Currys essentials c51owm11

from what you are describing it sounds like a fault code

the problem with currys machines is there are 2 or 3 different sources so it is a guess which make

are all light flashing or only some of them?

do they flash when you turn on ar after you set a programme?

    which lights are flashing ?

you could ring currys and try to have a word with one of their engineers to see if he can tell you if it means something.

also if you post info here one of the other lads on here may know

Re: Bosch classixx6 1200 Express fault

at the back of every wash motor is a tachometer

this consists of a revolving magnet inside a coil

it sounds like the magnet may have broken

    theory goes like this
motor start to turn but the programmer cannot sense any movement so stops it again and repeats

you need to have the motor checked to see if the tacho has an output

from what i can see these board are not that expensive but my first question is what is wrong with the old one and did the engineer who came out come from curries ?

what is the fault and what does the machine do or not do now ?

    Re: Bosch washing machine

1 check if brushes are sparking

2 check for small earth faults on heater and motor but not enough to blow an rcd

i would try machine see it fails then disconnect heater and try again
