Moderatoryes they make the board they submerge them in plastic so you cant access the components to change or test them

Moderatorok that proves the compressor
measure the voltage across the blue capacitor
also measure resistance on green resistor looks like 39 ohm

Moderatorprobably not a good idea to post a landline number on a public forum
email adresses can always be deleted but its a lot harder to stop a phone number
Dave
kwatt K do you know if peter had trade access. would be nice to get phone no out of public domain

Moderatorok power will come into the green resistor. this will then lead on to the capacitor
you should get power somewhere in that area

I tested the resistance and assumes it is fine. The resistance is around 15K ohms at room temperature and around 20K ohms at minus10 degree.
yes about right
lists it as 15k should be 15 degrees and at 20k it should be 10 degrees
if it was me I would swop the big blue capacitor and see what happens

Moderatorassume comressor never stops
if yes its struggling to get down to temp
the temp is sensed in the fridge. compressor will run till temp gets low enough in the fridge. if it never gets there ice builds up because it does not defrost
time for a new one i think
Dave

Moderatorpoor or ageing refrigeration system can also cause ice build up on the rear wall
what temp have you got in the fridge ?
