Moderatorsome machines pump water in through a hole in the rubber
it should be blanked if your machine is not fitted with this facility
there are 2 different gaskets fitted to this range of machine depending on serial number and commercial code
let me have the complete number off the label
number starts 3101
lets check if the part you have is correct

Moderatorthe reason my method works is because of the friction between the rubber and the band. you are stretching the spring and if fairy was there the band would just slip. failry wont work in this case as the spring has to be streched quite a lot to get it on
or you have to buy something like this

Moderatorthey did it because overtightening of clamps was damaging the thin shoddy drums

Moderatorits not easy as the later ones use a spring
i use a small screw driver that fits in one end of the spring. place the wire round as far as it will go then you can stretch the spring with one hand and ease it into position with the other
really fiddly and you have to be careful you dont damage the rubber. you could use strong string in a loop and pull thatafter its on i use a mirror to check its in the groove of the rubber

https://safety.hotpoint.eu/match.jsp?lang=en_GB
ok its older then 2016 so click box
then confirm no green stickerthen your asked to enter model and serial no
it will ask for a purchase date so make something up before jan 16
dont tell them you bought it second hand just in case it makes a difference. one of the family bought it new or something like that or you did and lost reciept and cant remember where it came from
you are asked for your details and will be asked at some point to upload pics of label and drum inner
if all goes to plan they will replace the dryer with a new one at no cost or if you pay extra an upgraded one

Moderatorif you set a thermostat a say 4 degrees then you assume the fridge will get down to that temp and switch off
but
there is always an overrun and the temp will keep falling for a bit. then as the temp rises it will turn back on to keep the temp in the range. if they turned the compressor back on just above 4 degrees the compressor would be starting and stopping every 5 minutes or so. Would be very bad for the compressor not to mention energy saving. So there is a range where the temp will go between and it depends on the manufacturers design criteria possibly 2 degrees or so. also when it turns on it takes time for the compressor to start cooling the fridge compartment.
Add to this insulation which stops the heat of the room getting into the fridge. modern fridges have more insulation leading to smaller storage space. This is also affected by room temperature which gives a temperature gradient across the insulation. result the warmer the room the more the unit will run and temps will fluctulateDave

Moderatorit will fluctulate as the door is open and closed the air temp will go up and down
the important thing is the mean temp of the stored products
try putting the sensor in water to get an idea what you milk will be doing. the liquid will not go up and down as fast and will reach an average temp
