Moderatorhave you checked wash motor
if its partly blocked or has play in the bearing it will draw the wrong current and make the unit think that there is not enough flow to activate heater

Moderatorjontymox wrote:The above ‘company’ have finally responded to my request not to proceed with the board repair, and to return the board.
Having phoned and emailed them several times, without reply, an email has finally been received today!
They have informed me that to return the board a charge of £46.00 would be incurred; Electronics Engineer Services & P+P
However, should the board be ‘recycled’ by them, the above fee would be waived.
So, a hard lesson has been learned by me, and I certainly cannot recommend the above company for any electronic repairs.
jontyI would report them to trading standards and see what they say
£46 to return a faulty board is way above what is reasonable and am sure you were not informed about these charges at any point
looked at their reviews and there are lots of 1 star reviews this yearlooking at their service charges it reads
“Please note that the return postage cost will be in addition to the service charge.
At our discretion, we may waive the service charge if you permit us to recycle the damaged unit.(b) Service Charge:
£10 – Headphone, DVR/Camera, GPS Navigation
£15 – Smart Phone, Smart Watch, Tablet/iPad, MP3 Player/iPod,
£24 – Gaming Console/Controller, PCB Board, Not Listed Items
£30 – Laptop/Desktop PC, Audio HiFi Equipment,
£45 – Drone/UAV “”what worries me about that is why should they dispose for free but charge to return your property. that stinks of scam

Moderatorshort answer don’t know
relay should work but it needs to be mounted correctly and wires routed so it cannot rub or short out
have no spec on the unit or wiring diagram
re measure voltage
also check meter accuracy by measuring mains voltage. was wondering if meter reading high

Moderatorhuge grey areas with gas
I look at it from if i have to disconnect a gas pipe I walk
but
the weird one in that is the supply pipe , Its designed for the client to disconnect and i have disconnected them but i don’t think we are supposed toAs for the short
if its in an electrical element or its controls the we are okif the electrical fault is in a component that controls or ignites the gas then its a no no

From memory it was 40V. But I will check it again later on
Is the voltage the only difference in that one and the one I just bought from the “white goods” shop?If its the voltage being an issue, then can i just find a 240v supply from the microwave somewhere ells? and wire the plug from the motor to it? (presuming that the rest of the microwave runs on 240v)
thats the only one i have seen thats not 230V
how are you going to stop the motor from turning all the time the unit is plugged inyou would need to find a switched feed

Moderatorthat model is a built in electric oven not gas (see ASWO) made by vestel
assume its a gas hob problem
are you gas safe registered ? if no refuse it as hob has to be disconnected from gas supply to remove

Moderatorwell 2 things can happen to the solenoids
1 sometimes they will work ok for a few minutes then as they heat up they go open circuit
2 the internals wear so the water flow per minute goes down. if it is this is will only be on one solenoid and rememer that we have had some hot weather which lowers water pressure in some areas so valves that are just ok will fail to deliver enough water when everyone is watering the grass
