Moderator2.1 is not bad
the 2 most likely parts to cause this are motor or heater
as a quick test, disconnect the main heater wires and try the machine to see if it trips
Daveelectrofix
Moderatorits the reading to earth that matters
should be millions of ohms

Moderatorif there is a list of new users somewhere user will have joined in last 24 hours most likely. prob the last 12 hours as it was not there last night

Moderatorit fails on the clips where it crosses from the loom to the moving drum unit. its where it bends when the drum bounces
Dave
electrofix
Moderatorcan be either the switch or the ring
the ring has 2 elements. if one fails you will get this fault. Equally if the switch does not operate one of the elements it will give the same fault

Moderatorsome early bosch machines got gummed up at the left side. you could remove the left hand side and check the inlet path. when it gets gummed up it lifts a float and starts the pump. it can also be a source of a leak that floods the base and triggers overflow float
If it is its just a careful dismantle and clean jobDave

Moderatorsee if that humming is coming from the inllet valve as 1cm does not sound a lot so am wondering if it filling too slowly although as iadom says the first noise is always a pump but it does not last 10 mins
you could try a long shot and pull the unit out and tilt it back slowly to 45 degrees and see if any water comes out onto the floor. If yes try it again

Moderatorthe spares catalogue show all previous versions of the motr and then the word superceeded after them. all previous versions are over £400.
its does say though that only miele can fit them as there is a software change for the newer unit
you can check here

Moderatorthats 2012 october
thats more like itat that age its likely the brushes have failed. you would have to remove them to check. be careful you note which way up they are as the end of the brush is angled to contact the armature
https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/00605694#/Togglebox=manuals/
after the brush is fitted the machine will possibly need to be reset.
will help with that when you know where your going
cant promise this fault is correct but its highly likely
Dave

Moderatorthat makes no sense, are you sure of that number
from that it was made either 1949 or 2049 both of which cant be true
was trying to figure how old it was to get an idea of work its done. if its 5 to 7 years or so with above average wear then it could indeed be brushes
but someone would have to strip the machine to conform or dent thisif you dont have a clue then you need professional help
