Moderatorfirst you say the temp in the fridge is -8 degrees and that cant be right or is it ?
second you dont say which unit you have
third temp need time to settle and you need to close the door and see what temp it ends up at by placing a thermometer in a glass of water to give an overall average temperature

Moderatorthere are screws underneath plus 2 screws at the top
you need to remove the door rubber from the front only and the door lock
after that the front should slide up (I think)

Moderatorwell all the cooling fan does is introduce cold air around the compressor
you could take the side of the machine off and run it like that. that way it gets plenty of ventilation with or without the fan
you will have to keep small fingers and pets away while you try it

I’ve not inspected the power module yet, although a relay in it clicks several times, prior to switching itself off.
I will contact QER, and see if they can test and repair the above.
jontythink QER has finished

Do you have any voltage being sent to the element circuits?
This should be about the easiest machine to fault find on.
must admit did not check that just assumed it was electronic
I would check the float microswitch firstafter that the timer output to the heater

Moderatorhad the heater gone ?
if its a whirlpool design it may need a reset
turn dial to 6 oclock , push start 3 times, then move dial to 7 oclock and push start 3 times
That should reset

Moderatori would inspect the power module , could be a slug
the power module would be my guess but cant be certain
all these units have 2 power supplies , a standby supply to detect switch on and a main supply to power everything
so either the main power supply starts and fails or the main supply starts and one of the chips has a short which shuts it all down. that short could be in the top board
