    some are known to leak were the stainless tank top meets the plastic base ( if yours is a plastic base model )

    knew he would be an idiot. its not like you to ignor emails from reasonable people

    the way he is telling it is it did not set when normally when that stuff goes off it sets in the tube

    take the sides off and run it

    that way if there is a leak you will see it

    have you checked for water in the base as when they leak you cant clear thr fault till you remove the water

    I get about 6 different places from one website
    the closest is about 80 miles from kilmarnock

    Nord give it as casle douglas not exactly local in our term but scotland maybe 80 miles away is local

    have seen the failure but never went to thr trouble of soldering new components

    only problem i can see is the drivers that activate the IGFET’s. if they have been damaged during the failure then it either wont work or go bang again

    next you could check the pump coil is ok

    I say this and above as i expect the pump to be the first thing that happens on starting a programme

    the fault code lights on that unit are the 6 vertical lights (RHS) that tell you where you are in the programme

    how do you know it was local ?

    with no address or phone number they could be anywhere. in fact even the phone number does not say anything these days

    pump is clipped onto the side of the sump

    find it normally on left side. the pump body twists off but there is a clip that locks it on which can be tricky to find and unlock

    once its off check for bits of glass ext that may jam it
