the drain pump martin. i know the main cause of the pump not running is something blocking it. when i removed it and checked it was ok if their was crud blocking the main tranfare pipes would it stop the drain pump from running. at the start of the program i know it would stop the filling or would the pump still run but not fill thanks fasetester 🙂

thanks martin for your reply. the problum was when switched on and select a program did nothing. would a blockage in the pipe work cause the pump not to run at the beginning of the program as the parts i checked tested ok and then when i started a program it went ok

the thing is i would like to know what caused the problum in the first place and know that the problum is fixed the switch in the sump if that was blocked up would that have caused the problum thanks fasetester. 😕

hope you had a good holiday martin. turned the washer pump from the back seemed to turn ok. if the washer pump leaks on this dishwasher can the seals be changed. there is some white scum and rust on the bottom plate when run could see no leaks the only thing was the waste is not right it is not pushed on to a proper outlet it is just sitting in to the mouth of the sink waste under the sink.

i changed the capactor and then it went. can the capactor being faulty stop the program from starting the drain pump running at the start and filling i know it can stop the washer pump from starting.

or it should have no part to play at the start of the program and only stop the washer pump from working thanks fasetester 🙂

thanks cessna for your reply. does any one have the user manual i know i should have the model number. it looks like a bf1620 but it is slightly narrower and the second indcator light over from the right has a R symbol .

the eldery lady was looking for the user manual but could not find it. when i told her i would have to try and get the kick board off and get it out to repair it.

she said it was over 4yrs old and might take to much to fix it. that she would think about it .fasetester.
