ParticipantRe: indesit iwb5113 sold by tesco
petal, just taken out a 13 mth old, you got it – tesco direct – iwb5113 with a coin shaped hole in the tub just behind the motor mount. too risky to plug up down there. cust prepared for the worst but wants a fix if viable so if you want to sell me the tub 😛 (assuming it has no chocolate teapot style faults)

ParticipantRe: 104 stolen washing machines
keep a watch out on ebay and gumtree mate, i recovered my mtb bike that was nicked and promptly popped on ebay. i knew it was mine from the unique frame damage i inflicted, and shown on the page 😉 put in a daft winning bid & informed police. they sent a pcso round and gave him my frame no. details, we then went round and he then checked it out and it was kosha, bloke claimed hed found it dumped in his garden and reported it as ditched to the police who after 14 days told him it wasnt claimed so he could keep it, but the auction claimed he “owned it from new”, and police had no record of his information, and said had they have, it would have been 30 days minimum, so he got a caution, as there was no hard proof. hope you find the scum, only advantage is tha 104 machines is a lot to hide :/

cooling fan failure? oven doors being left open after use?

hmmm i can imagine some manufacturer pr guys arguing by using a low temperature wash that you are avoiding “melting” and soluding the fat deposits which means they cant set in the delicate areas of the machine, as they are still cool enough to be solids
your best bet is to go to your local washing machine shop/friendly repairer and get some good heavy duty dw degreaser, we use whirlpool wpro granules in a tub, rather than the supermarkets liquid weak-as-water rubbish.

ah hah, the 133 triacs are mac97a8 too, but they have a different 3 digit number under it – 537 or something iirc, is that just the batch code?

unless the valve orientation is different, i cant see why, its gotta be worth a go just using the old one, to just get her off your back. i was assuming the part was the threaded extension but having looked on qtx its not, its just hte plastic cutout.

water exchange matrix and pressure “mushroom” system. only takes a very thin layer of sludge to interrupt filling on these. all the intel gumpf behind LHS (from front) panel of this model.

double check the socket too. just gone through a spate of neutral faults on sockets lately locally. dont know why, cuat havent elaborated more but tests with 3pin socket checkers elsewhere for okay-nesss have resulted in suddenly-working machines, ive left it to the subsequent sparkys to explain why 😀

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Soap Box Saga
tell them they got it from so and so (currys comet etc) and its not your fault that because of this htey have a model requiring special cheaper manufacturered parts in order to prove the £50+ quid saving they were duped with into buying that pile of tosh. “because it was on special offer”. and then state had they had a bosch it was far less likely to happen… if they harass you say your only here to fix the machine THEY chose 😀 knowing you martin, youll have said this already 😀

ParticipantRe: Speedy delivery from Connect
not bad… although all credit to connect if its a 3x item or less order, if it goes through before 5pm it tends to get here next day. time is dependant on who your end deliverer is, i.e if your early on his run logically your more likely to see it before lunch 😀
