    Re: Zanussi TCE7227W Tumble Dryer

e51 motor faulty, wiring from motor faulty, pcb faulty.

have had this where the main plastic fan wears loose, therefore wobbles off center, and jams motor,

    or

been overloaded, belts gone, and spring that tensions motor to jockey whl pings out, taking some of the loom with it

    or

motors overheated and internal armature cooling impeller has melted, jamming motor…

PLUG OUT FIRST, then remove RHS panel for access to motor/loom/belt/fans

hierarchy of waste?! wtf?! “prevention” = are they saying you HAVE to attempt to fix something before you replace it?

ps i thought the tories were supposed to be cutting red tape. not adding to it?

    Re: LPG Gas Integrated Appliances

most hobs come supplied with lpg jet conversion kits, rather than pre-set with lpg.

ovens are even more difficult to obtain pre-converted. best option is to speak to new world a see if their new world nw60g has an lpg converson kit available. whoever you are getting to fit the hob and oven should have the relevent lpg registration so would be authorised and trained adequately to modify both items properly to standard.

make sure you register the full guarantee in case it comes with a 5yr manufacturers warranty. however dry joint repairs from specialist engineers like emw work out at under £50 inc vat. would be worth ebaying the old machine as spares or repair for 0.01p rather than paying someone to take it away 🙂

    jockstrap???

so i guess i should be getting hp over to modify this one before sale then. how do you notify and explain that to the customer who bought the other one as an exchange for a statesman 1200 that didnt spin fast/long enough, andhad it not been for the decently specced hp being available would have asked for their cash back… ???

    Re: oven overheating

if selling a model ive never stocked before, i tend to check the parts on connect for price and availability first.

general rule of thumb with non-multifunction ovens, is if theres a dual circuit grill, itll be fan assisted, true fan ovens only require a single circuit grill. obviously if the oven is a proper multifunction oven it will operate as a static conventional or true fan. the other option is to whip out the back inner panel if possible and see. yes ive only ever come across fans on back wall. not necessarily central tho.

anyone help with these 2 of our shop machines ?
    first is a wmf520p

and the other is a wdf740a

the wd seems to be a screwed tub, whereas the wmf520 is welded. should both have the strip, or just the wmf ??

oh yeah, of course just like when you get a board back from emw theres often a reason why it went. i didnt actually go out to see this one tho so cant say where the loom heads to, its just ive got the taste for a bit of pcb repairing now, and need the confidence that you guys give with your support that tells you your on the tight track, or doing a complete no-no 🙂

    Re: Bosch SGS4442GB/01 problem

pcb burnt out. classic no heat failure and dry joint will be in the middle of the board

some of them can get very very black.
