There are a few versions of the WT741, some with sealed drums, some with split drums, some with 3 phase motors, some not.
What he/you have is a WT741,
is it not entirely feasible its a graded h/p rebuild ?

cheers for that, turns out i dont need one afterall (hopefully), but your post made me think again about the dw i was going to condemn today. i forgot that the relays feed each other, so you reminded me to check the full circuit on the pcb and i found that it was good up until the relay dry joint, but after that it wasnt, as it had been sent off to be fixed, i just assumed it had done more serious damage. anyways a bit of resoldering onto the other side of the track and presto working dw, much kudos signor

these came with plastic peckers that were so soft they would wear down in weeks, metal peckers were used as service replacements, does interlock recognise screwdriver actuation?

ParticipantRe: customer has cut the plug off
this is where it all gets so totally unfair, and impractical. because it was bought from an indie down south, shes gotta travel down there to get the recompense, unless the retailer takes it up with sharp on her behalf. sharp are unlikely to deal with you, only the distributor, retailer and customer.
plus, they will argue they were not given sufficient access to fix it due to the fact their engineer was subcontracted for the work and therefore not their fault. put simply after the sharp guy refused to look at it she should have got onto sharp c/s and quoted t/s statement that cutting a plug off did not consitute a breach of guarantee.
however in sharps defence, if it states in the guarantee book that “any modification voids guarantee” shes not gonna get her moneysworth in court…

oh come on martin, lighten up. unintentionally or otherwise his posts have resulted in enough aggro the least he can do is accept a bit of lighthearted banter. and its a perfect opportunity for him to prove he has a sense of humour rather than just being permanently uptight. besides its your armpits that started it all. can we moderate them too ???

at what point did i infer i was assuming? no decent rep is going to tell you off for stocking direct competitors – they are too afraid of you telling them to frick off, but can affect how much discount you will get – reps are just like politicians, they tell you exactly what they think you want to hear ๐

ParticipantRe: ego oven stats – what does each part of the code mean???
whirlpool built under double. both stats for each oven are identical, and this is for the bottom oven so suggested just swapping stats over so she had fan oven and sep grill but she wants a new stat ideally. just moved into the house a month ago with appliances included as working, yet because the property went for under offer, previous owner wont pay anything towards it, and she cant afford a new oven, and cant really afford the 120 odd quid whirlpool are asking for the part (trade), ive tried to source the belling packaged version (obs) and theres an indesit one on connect but thats ยฃ60 and spec order, and not willing to take a risk that thats the right stat as it doesnt say what spec it is ๐

ParticipantRe: Hacked Off About Internet Pricing?
Dr dill, do you fit your own kitchens or contract the installations out?
also, when was the last time you used a major distributor instead of direct accounts?
ive always found unless processing a huge amount of quiddage with say bsh, direct accounts dont always work out for the better. not only that, perhaps the fact you are trying to stock and show off the big 3 premium brands in a showroom simultaneously is grating with some of your brands reps. i know for example if you hold a bosch account they arent happy if you want to display both bosch and neff side by side. thats why a couple of people i deal with and know, only have miele and neff, bosch & smeg, or siemens and aeg. any more than 2 prem brands showing in stock rubs each other reps noses up the wrong way!
