what baffles me if why this doesnt seem to be an issue on merloni or candy kit. im only assuming its because the lux dryer elements are so much longer than the others ??? each one thats failed due to low insulation has soap powder residue on the tips but none of my hp etc ones have the same signs…

Re: indesit wixl163s with interupted water in / draining out

when i implied on the phone it might be better off getting ind/hp out as it was prolly the board, her words were i cant afford that, thats why im booking you… 😯

after going out to look at it, she said they werent budging on 164 with the 12mths guarantee when she told them of the symptoms over the phone.

i know in the past if it sounded like the customer was gonna decline theyd halve the 12mth guarantee price to about £135 if it sounded like customer would go elsewhere, but not on this occasion… troubles maybe?

anyways seems all sorted now, will just await an angry “you fixed machine yesterday NOW IT NO WORK” call 2moro morning…

have u rung elux distriparts direct? ring them on 01325 302464, press 1 for trade and they can sometimes do a one-off price on certain expensive items, like piseybees 🙂

    Re: zanussi de6855 diagnostic help

hey steve, yeh done that this morning. definitely popped a joint and shes not bothering with a repair (wouldnt even accept a emw fix to get the total bill to just under £100) as she thinks she can get a new dw from argos for £160 :rolls:

so as the rest of the machine is in reasonable nick i fancy having a go at repairing the board myself, and using it for a loan machine wen parts are hard to get hold off.

any tips tho, clear burnout on the solder of one pin…?

will upload a pic when i can find the cam…

unplug dryer element, make sure the flying terminals do not touch anything/each other, and see if it completes first 15 mins of a wash cycle with no error.

some of their compact chest freezers were made in scotland, but i think theyve ended now as they were last summers ones and i was under the impression the replacement ch1040 was chinese but im probably misinformed then

    common weakness is pcb.
replaced one (before coming across emw) post-electrical storm last october. so far ok, so seems like was affected by power spike…?

Re: Best 60cm DW for a rental house

sorry HWL im with martin on this.

basic shi7ty accomodation you can get away with 50cm indesit s/o s/p cooker and icebox fridge, maybe if rent is under 200 a month, but in 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of accomodation round here bare minimum is a fridge freezer, b/i oven&hob or t/c cooker, plush washer dryer, even if its an indesit.

dw are desirable options but in our experience here, rentals described as furnished almost certainly include a crappy cda/ikea/ignis/whirlpool askol pump of doom, or chinquinese baumatic/carlton/hp/indeshite d/w

    pmsl @ jim

sorry but i do feel for the chap

even tho he bought something off teh internet knowingly as a return within 3 mths, from argos of all the peoples. people can still get hoodwinked.

fact of the matter is mike, people on here just dont know what to suggest, the machine is the basis of a fair few main manufacturers, but because it is chinese and never been designed to repair, parts are sparse, and technical info nigh on impossible to come by. basically whoever has sold it has legally sold it as spares or repair (which basically by stating sold as seen – it means you haven’t seen it before buying, yet agreed to buy) and therefore its (possibly unfairly) you’re own fault you bought a loada crap.

what penguin is saying is cut your losses and buy something that has some heritage, and what jim is saying is that you have bought suitable catapult fodder but an unsuitable dw.

    sorry?!
