Sounds like the switch its self or solder joint broken on one of the legs

Re: wf 240 intermittent wont light up

I have had a number of these boards with either the on/off not always operatng of the start/cancel intermitant working.

Althought the tact switch may feel ok the solder joints on the pins where it joins the module fail.

I carry a board so I can couple it up to the cable to prove if it is the switch and if it is carefully try to re solder pins or replace switch from scrap board

    Hi

Will recheck motor wiring as last time I was there I could find no problems with it. Pressure chamber nice and clean

As to the fault it will spin one day then the next it will not.

Fridays order states it will be dispatched via carrier but there is no carrier dispatch information. Will be watching on Monday am with great interest. On the phone pm if there has been no movement.

My order from Tuesday is Inverness at present and I am hoping it will come over on the ferry Monday.

    Update

Have been fitting 40ER101c19 instead of these invensys regulators with great success.

Only one problen to date was on a stoves cooker where the screw holding the facia on stopped the regulator fitting correctly. 😡 Ah well cannot win them all

    Hi

Have you checked to see if both spray arms are clean and turning freely? The best way to check if they are moving is to set them so they are facing front to back or side to side. Start the program off and after it sounds like it has started to wash carefully open the door to see if the spray arms have moved fromm the postion you set them at.
The chances are that they have not moved and the most likely cause of this is the wash/circulation motor.

Had a look at their site where they have some general manuals listed

    http://www.amana.co.uk/useguides.htm

In two of them they stated to hold the lock and water button in for 4 seconds until filter light turned green.

These units look very much like a Maytag unit I worked on not so long back 😕

I did one of these a while back and it was not a problem with fitting the board into the unit.
The problem comes when having to program it. I found the instructions to mine by removing the kickplate and searching in the small gap in the condensor area.
Without these for mine it would not start the unit up. Not sure if this the same in your case.

    Hi

Original part number is 3111622027 or 506008303006 and state it is a ET51001/F5

Do not know what the difference between F5 and J5 types but connect do not interlink the zanussi and hotpoint number
