Re: Servis Rainwave 1100 Integrated Washer Dryer

    Hi Tasa.

Yes, your Servis is pretty dead. It’s very expensive to replace all the drum, especially if it’s completely collapsed 😕

My advice is to get a free-standing machine, rather than intergrated. Unless you buy a very expensive intergrated model, you’ll just get a un-reliable machine.

But I’d also recommend getting a seperate washer and dryer if you have the space?

I had the same thing 2 weeks ago 🙄

She decided to wash all of her ordemental ducks, one of which was wax. Twas a BSH machine, with that matrix thing up the side, which was completely blocked with set wax! As was the drain hose and sink trap. Twasn’t very fun 🙁

There is then enough wire length to bring it out to the top of the machine and work at it from there. This alleviated the need to tamper with the drum seal at all.

I (and most other appliance engineers) would always do it by removing the door seal, as described, because washing machines are usually under a worktop. Maybe it’s laziness 😉 but it’s mostly so we don’t have to risk damaging floors to remove the machine. If the machine isn’t under a worktop, your way would be easier 🙂

Of course anybody doing this, must unlug the machine first!

Gald to see that your sorted cousins

Do they need anymore mugs for beta? They reckon it will work seemlessly with an xbox 360. I’ll tell ’em 😈

    Speaking of the match…

It was horrible to watch, but all the other big teams (except Germany) have had unconvincing, narrow wins too 😕 Holland were really hanging on

If it happens again, it will be in cool weather, and (media) people will be calling for Sven’s head early. Those sub decisions? WTF?

Everyone is just getting warmed up! It’s gonna be a good few weeks, especially if the ball keep moving in the air so violently 😀

Bargainhunter? I suppose that’s why you bought a Servis? 😛 Sorry!

Are you sure that the drum support/bearings are ok? Open the door. Is there lateral movement on the inner drum, within the outer tub?

I think Mike is right. There’s so many variables during this job, and they all have to be perfect. Otherwise the new bearing wont last at all. Starting with the drum suport/shaft. You should fit a new one if your doing the bearings.

Ever heard of ‘Trailer Park Boys’?

It’s not a band, it’s the best comedy show in the world 😀 So Funny!

It’s the original mockumentary series; before The Office, and Curth Your Enthuiasm. It’s all about the people of a Canadian trailer park. And they’ve got a episode all about Rush.

The only problem is the language. It contains very filthy language, all the way through 🙄

    Indeed!

I was quoting my estimated charge for doing that job. I should of pointed that out! 😳
