It’s more of a forwards and backward movement you want to try.

If you look at the back of the inner drum, through the door, you can see the indentiation of the dum support.

Pull on the front lip of the drum, where the legs line up.

A broken drum will sound sweet as a nut, when spinning at high speed, when it is empty. It’s the weight of the clothes that will make it noisy.

    :eeek:

When an qualified engineer changes the brushes, he/she will do a few things to make sure those brushes last; like, cleaning the armature, and cleaning the carbon disposits off the PCB, especially the little heat-sink, as this could cause a short circuit on the PCB, and lead to a dodgy motor as you describe 🙁

It could be a foreign body in the tub, but more likely, it’s a broken leg on your drum support! 🙁

iadom wrote:To give you some idea of the damage you are doing to your machine by only doing low temperature washes, this is a drum support I have recently removed from a 3 year old Hotpoint machine, this customer used liquids and only washed at low temperatures. No prizes for guessing the before and after. 😉

With correct dosage, a good quality detergent, regular hot washes, ( try washing a load of whites or something similar once a week on a 60° wash), together with the maintenance wash already suggested, I have seen 15 year old drum supports look almost as clean as the one on the left.

The picture above shows two drum supports, and the damage caused by soap 😕 I’m thinking, 1 of your legs might have broken, causing a loud clangig noise, when the machine is on a fast spin, with some weight inside.

😯 I feel your pain, in a much smaller way. My sister moved house in Manchester 3 times, in 3 years.

Everytime, I got, “Can you just set up the TV, DVD, surround sound, PC and BTW my PC is doing this, and won’t do this…” :haier:

Though, I never got a parking tickit 😕

Surely, this particular machine is far to young to have a solenoid failure?

If the machine is washing but not doing the final spin, then it’s probably the brushes or module.

Re: bosch wta 3100 no heat

I could do with seeing my technical info I have at work, tomorrow!

    From memory….

The models with a huge round (more donough shape) metal cover on the back, have a reset under that cover, toward to top of the machine.

    Power off, of course!

Press the reset button, if it doesn’t click, then it’s not that!

If it goes click, you’ve reset it!

Try the dryer again to see if it resets again. If it does, you got a bigger problems. If it doesn’t reset you tryed to dry something to wet, or didn’t let the dryer cool down at the end of the program. The last ten minutes of the cycle (when the dryer cools down) are essential for reliablity.

    Re: indesit omega 1200

If your getting no motor action at all, it will be the motor, the motor’s brushes, or the PCB that controls the motor.

Looking at the model number, it could be any of them 😕

Engineer time me thinks. The brushes/module isn’t such an expensive job on this machine, though the motor would be.

And please unplug the machine first if your going to look around inside.

    Oh dear!

You’ll probably have to wait until Monday, when people are back at work, where they have information on these things.

And next time, remember what momma said…

    “Buy cheap, buy twice!”

    “Measure twice, cut once!”

    and

“If your gonna unplug all the wires off a circuit board, write down where the wires go!” 😆

Yes! As Martin sugguested, it time to call in the professionals.

    This shouldn’t cost you £80 call-out. That’s way too expensive IMO! 😯

I’m gonna type it one more time!

If the water pressure is fine, then the softener is too thick and is setting before the final rinse! Always shake the bottle, and dilute it with some water if you have to.

And if you can’t figure out the problem, call in a professional!!!
