Years ago I called Meile for a price for a dishwasher motor and was astounded to be quoted over £250 8O. I remember some posts regarding AEG motors suffering from the same fault, And someone managed to remove and refit the belt pulley and change the bearing. Might be an option on this one, Even taking it to an engineering firm to have the work carried out could possibly save a £100 or so. Will try to get the S/N from the customer.

Funny you mentioned trackers I was talking to a neighborer of mine today who works for a British Gas contractor and has just been given a new van with a tracker fitted. Within a week he was pulled in to explain why his van was in 2 areas which were not on his patch! I would not want one but can understand why any big bossiness would want to know were there vans where at any given time. He told me as his card has been marked he is looking to go self employed some time soon.

Not nice when a part you purchased in good faith turns out to be unsuitable for its intended use and this has to be down to the supplier. I was more worried about Martins post as he implied that maybe Masterparts heaters may not have thermal Cut outs fitted when they should have. Last year i did a few jobs for an insurance Co, and one of the jobs I reported on was an integrated Ardo washer where the contents of the drum caught fire due to blocked pressure switch chamber holding the pressure switch on.

Martin, Why are you asking? As yesterday I Fitted a MP SV34101 Servis element which the description stated: Thermal Fuse fitted. Have I got another thing to worry about 😯 .

See, Martin I told every one about The pango ages ago would they listen? 😆 Just yesterday had a Servis integrated blocked outlet hose, Did,t have a lot of time so Pangoed from the waste end of the hose with the filter out, put a bowl in front of of the filter and jobs a good un! as they say up north 🙂

Last Monday I looked up the pt no for a Tecnics SE6TIE1GB/29 Bosch clone and and the old site showed it straight away. Just tried the new e-spares one and not listed, So looks like its not going to be any good for re badged BSH products.

Switched to A & L a year ago and no probs so far, Earn a bit of interest on the tax’s mans account, Only gripe is if you pay cheques in on a Monday as I do, Sometimes they won’t clear until the following Tuesday.

Senseib, Whats the model no and fault? I fix quite a lot of showers and Triton are usualy repairable.
