Participantinterestingly, for the indesit with the board at the top, u will need the original hardware key, because youll need the adapter and cable to plug the smart card reader into
the plot thickens

wonder if it will affect portugals chances, and more to the point why wouldnt he be englands manager if he hates the english press so much?
may abramovich’s wallett is just too big to ignore?

Participantnah, quite simple, plug in the reader, insert card, wait 5 minutes, take card out, done
no danger of putting eprom in wrong, or even the wrong eprom
helo_75
Participantcheck if the door actually locks?
if it does and it doesnt start, check the brushes
usual hotpoint tat to be honest
may well just be the lock

Participantinterestingly, if its programmed, and you could take the info off the board, you could fit as new board and reprogram it
what do you use?
helo_75
Participantwell, it will be.. for earlier models certainly
since indesit are phasing the pcb and eprom out, all that will be available by the end of the year are the board and the smartcardnow, hotpoint can still use their hardware key, and program the pcb without using a smart card.. though as usual, not available to anyone other than their own service engineers
so if someones got some decent software, they could, at a pinch take the source code of each card, and use it to program each pcb, after all, its only the fact that the board comes with a blank eprom installed, its just the independants who suffer
so yes, in answer to the initial question.. its worth buying a smartcard reader, i mean, how many customers are willing to spend on one just to repair it the once?
better for the independants if you ask me
has anyone spoke to emw about the new system? im sure with the right software, nothing changes for them
