Participantall isnt lost
there are some parts available
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hoover-Twin-Tub-M … 20ad9bd8fc
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hoover-Twin-Tub-W … 1e5a68c4ae
will cure the droning on the wash side
your problem is with the spinner
it could be lubricated, but as to the butterfly valve in the pump, i just dunno if anyone might have one lying around?

Participantit is just a normal pulley bolt.
locking the drum in postion and using a spanner seems the right way
however, i use a big pair of mole grips and give it a whack, to loosen it off
but be careful, its easy to hurt yourself doing this, and suitable safety precautions should be taken

Participantnoisy as in?
i.e is it rumbly or clicky
could well be a shot motor
helo_75
Participantno clips needed
twist it off and refit using same method!
trust me, ive fitted loads, and get some practice, theyre going down faster than portsmouth!

Participant2 different types, depending on serial number
error 7 is.. (again depending on variant)
Jammed Motor’s Rotor and/or Wiring
OR
Defective Door Safety Lock Device (blocked closed) and/or Wiring
its worth checking the motor

Participantthats a decision u gotta take.. 9/10 times its the pcb

helo_75
Participantnot sensing pressure switch
could be pressure switch, more likely pcb at that age
good luck, the pcbs are a lot of money

Participanttheres a memo…..
heaters a problem for some, not all#
helo_75
Participanttheres a rubber ‘o’ ring that lips over the end of the valve, and holds it all in place
you can buy the part, but your better with a complete valve , to be sure its right

Really ? Unless you are involved in this particular job how would you know if its correct or not ?Connect have stock of all the parts to complete the repair, Comet do not and according to Comet Service their suppliers do not have stock and that is what Comet have told the customer.
.
no, and neither are you, but you seem to know ‘ its correct’…ur just goin off what someone has told you, and im saying its probably not as bad as its been portrayed

Participantnot likeley to be wholey accurate im afraid
i work there remember, and i think thats been made to look a whole lot worse than it is/was
jobs dont dissapear, theres guidelines and rules.. customers pay little attention then kick off when they dont hear what they want to.
im not gonna start an argument. itll drag on and on, and get messy
i know what you posted is incorrect.
