Participantif theyre all flashing, itlem is a pcb problem im afraid
helo_75
Participantunscrew the base of the pump
theres on screw, then it twists off
remove any debris thats in therewhen u put it on a spin, it does take around a minute for the motor to start.. u tend to here a click from the pcb at the top, then the motor should run
if it clicks and doesnt, could well be worn brushes
hth
sorry, i been out shopping

Participantits blocked
the pump needs to come off… is there a sealed base on the machine?
helo_75
Participantoooh thats a tough one
the only way i could even think of that is to take one of the paddles out, and rotate the drum and hope the hole in the inner drum lines up with the bottle and helps you clean it out
worth a try
i had the same problem with a candy go1482 and they wouldnt pay for a tub – write off!

shipdoc wrote:Thanks for the info, I have just discovered this problem on my new drier. Have put a bowl of hot water into it. Do you mean to empty it, or just let it sit. Also, do you know what the ambient temp has to drop to to trigger this response, since I have the drier in an unheated room off the back of the house. If this is going to be an ongoing issue, will have to consider an alternative machine.
the manufacturers recommend the room temperature of over 5 degrees
the bowl of water trick doesnt work
i found the best thing is to start the dryer 5-6 times
eventually itll generate enough heat to warm the thermistor enough to keep it going
sorry i cant help much more, ive found the 5-6 starts works okhelo_75

It’ll probably involve relpacing the sensors and the pcb, so it will cost them an arm and a leg. Don’t expect an instant fix.
Penguin45.
aparantly not….
according to the manufacturers (not just hoover/candy) it simply isnt a fault
the dryer will function normally, if the correct operating ambient temperatures are evident
coming soon from candy.. the chocalate fireguard.. and the motorbike ashtray
helo_75
Participantand that could be your problem
‘ambient emperature lockout’
its becoming common
worth taking it into the house first and trying it to see if thats the problem
helo_75
Participantis it because its broke where the handle fits?
if it is, i just drive 2 screws in , top and bottom of the handle.. the perfect fix
bit of a can of worms fitting the inner door trim i find…..
helo_75
Participantid give it a week, and book a servicecall in anticipation
helo_75
