or you can do what i do.. and wrap a bit of insulation tape round the motor shaft, then tap the fan back on!

WHICH ONES ARE FLASHING? i.e 1 and 4 / 2 an 3 etc

trust me, its a nightmare… unles you go for a large, good quality, good branded chest freezer.. the whirlpools ones arent too bad

to put it in perspective for you… if it had been a hotpoint pile of tosh, the door lock would have blown the pcb by now, and youd be waitin 3 weeks for a repair, the machine would be useless,and youd have been hassled to daeath to extend the warranty
things do go wrong, nothing in life is perfect

the new switch will more likely be the new type, and will need the wiring change
no1 will touch that with a bargepole
unless of course, the toc on the back of the oven cavity is o/c?
