no brushes on that machine, it has a 3 phase motor
could well be a pcb fault
most new hoover machines have a welded tub assembly now
it probably just needs a door seal, and hoover are just trying to exrend the warranty for more cash
samsung extended the warranty for that fault to 5 years
itll probably need a defrost heater, give them a ring back, it should be covered
