ParticipantIt was Connect Distribution (the supplier). If it already has the dropper resistor then you do not need to change it, but if it does not have a dropper resistor then you have the option to add one which will make the cooling fan run slower and therefore reduce the noise output. If the fan has worn bearings then you will need to change the fan.

ParticipantHaving looked at the information on connect it looks like the fan is switched on and off by the selector switch and does not have any form of thermostatic control. There is also a service bulletin that basically says that if the fan is excessively noisy then you can fit a dropper resistor (4055019139) in series with the fan if one is not already fitted.

ParticipantIf you want to go for Sumup then let me know and I can send you a referral link which should give you some money off the card reader (up to £30).

ParticipantI use Sumup and have had no problems with it apart from one faulty card reader (screen failure) which they replaced under warranty without hassle.
They do 2 different readers (you buy whichever one you want), one which connects to the internet through the phone and one that standalone unit. They will also do “customer not present” facility but it is an extra that you have to ask for and incurs a slightly higher rate. I have never had any trust issues from anyone when using the little one connected to my phone/tablet.
If using the phone/tablet to take the transaction then you can do itemised invoices but if using the standalone unit then you just enter the amount.Jem
November 25, 2019 at 11:57 pm in reply to: Superseded Jockey wheel on Hotpoint T/D SUTCD97B6GM(UK) #464819Hollytree_Technical
ParticipantI have just looked at the official service information and found the following notice.
Please be aware the black Jockey Wheel is no longer available. This has been replaced by the improved performance white Jockey Wheel, they are NOT interchangeable. If you have an appliance with a black jockey wheel, then you would need to order the kit of motor and wheel C00519660, but if it is a newer motor with a white jockey wheel then you just need to order the Jockey wheel C00519663
Hope that helps

ParticipantWell I fitted a new dispenser and draw just over a week ago and it appears to have cured this one though I still can’t see anything wrong with the old one.

ParticipantThe most common issue that I have found with them is that the fine mesh filter gets clogged with fine dirt – it looks clean but if you try to pour water through it then it just pools on the filter till you rub it between your fingers.

ParticipantI can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain if this kit fits your particular machine but Bosch did come out with 11026549 which contains a couple of metal bars to stop the cabinet splaying out as well as some other sealing bits.

ParticipantActually you may need to double check the capacitor values even more as there is a technical bulletin which list multiple other possibilities.

ParticipantI agree with Toni – I think that the program indicator may be steady when it is on the program that it was set on and flash otherwise (or it may be the other way round but there was a way of telling when you found the right program)

ParticipantIf the motor is humming then the module is trying to power it and unless it is low voltage to the motor (unusual and unlikely fault) then I would be looking at the motor and/or capacitor.
Try flicking the drum round when the motor is humming and it should run – if not it may not be getting power.
Check the windings on the motor – there should be 4 connections, (disconnect capacitors for testing) between pins 1 and 2 should be around 58 Ohm and between pins 1 and 3 should be 29 ohms (also between 2 and 3).
Double check the capacitor – according to the service manual it should be 9uF rather than the usual 8uF.Jem

ParticipantHi Dave
Thanks for the information but the board list doesn’t show the PNC of the unit that I am working on.
Try these links – I think I might have found the right URl this time.

ParticipantConnect are showing me a price of £42.17 + vat with SRP £65.29
I agree that their prices are rocketing up at the moment so I am using the other suppliers much more.
