If it is all clear there then try and blow down the pipe back to the pump, there should be little or no resistance.

Yes the part you can unscrew and then pull out.

Drain it fully then set it to a spin programme with the pump filter removed and observe the pump action.

If the pump runs smoothly then it’s possible you have an obstruction on the outlet side.

I have seen a five pence piece get past the filter and into the pump outlet hose. Does the outlet hose slot into a standpipe or is it connected to the under sink waste pipe?

If the latter then an obstruction where the hose is connected to the sink plumbing is also a possibility.

    Re: SPEED HUMPS — AHHHHH

The irony of it all is that speed humps have been proven to cause a huge spike in noxious emissions in their locality due to vehicles not being able to maintain a constant speed. So if you don’t knock them down you poison them slowly. 🙁

Could be a detached thermostat inside the door or the heating element itself, a known weak spot in Indesit dishwashers.

Heating element is around £42/£43 .

Impossible for us to know if hubby could fix it as we have no idea of his level of expertise. You should also test the heating element electrically first before even thinking of trying to replace it.

Not the easiest element to get at, also has some very fiddly hose clips.

Why do you need a prewash anyway, the wash times on these are extremely long on most programmes at the best of times.

It could just be the clear plastic ‘light guide’ that sits between the buttons and the pcb.

Brand new, this model was first sold in Sept 2013??

Is the drain outlet hose well above floor level?

That is not a recognised error code, you should contact the Indesit Company or your retailer.

Error codes are given by flashing a combination of the first four lights plus the power light.

Re: Hotpoint dryer starts when off,

Just read this from manual, as you have not seen the fault it could be that your customer is mistaking these functions?

    9. When the END indicator light turns on, the programme has ended. The buzzer will beep 3 times to let you know that your programme is complete. Open the door, remove the laundry then clean the filter and replace it (see Care and maintenance)..
If the clothes are not removed at the end of the cycle the automatic POST CREASE CARE action will, on those programmes with this feature, continue to rotate the drum intermittently for up to 10 hours to minimise creasing. The phase is stopped when the door is opened or when the knob is set to OFF
    10. Set the program knob to OFF to switch off the machine.
    11. Disconnect the dryer from the power supply.
Automatic pre-post Anti Crease This is an automatic function which provides an anti crease treatment both before and after the drying programme. By periodically rotating the drum before the start of the drying cycle, when a delayed start is selected, the formation of creases is prevented. On certain programmes the drum also rotates periodically at the end of the drying cycle on. The phase is stopped when the door is opened or when the knob is set to OFF

The drum is sealed, it cannot be fixed, only replaced as a complete unit.

NB. I am not a Sansung agent but it stands to reason that if any Samsung agents do see this that is the first question they will ask. 😉

What does the other side of the pcb look like, might just need a spot of solder?
