    Re: Beko display stuck?

Sadly I got the impression the customer won’t wear a new pcb. 🙁

The best upright and cylinder cleaners are the Sebo machines, made in Germany, five year warranties and are used by some hospital trusts.

And by most contract cleaners, major hotels and cruise lines. 😉

There are loads of free image resizing apps out there for phone, tablet or PC. Dead easy to use. 😉

No actual OOB switch as such, controlled by signal from motor tacho and electronics.

All Zanussi machines have a sealed drum and a lot of their budget end is now made in China.

Currently there is a good offer from Bosch, they normally come with a 2 year warranty but certain models are on offer which includes a full five year warranty. It would mean increasing your budget somewhat but a good deal on a slightly better machine. Not sure how long the offer runs for though?

Re: Hoover New Wave1300 AC178-301 sump hose washer broken

There is no danger in using the machine, as the seal has failed that will allow water to get into the drum bearings and they will rust and eventually fail. Is the machine very noisy on fast spin?

Very few modern machines are as easy to repair as older ones. A large number have totally sealed drums and expensive electronics.

A replacement depends on your budget and expected usage etc.

Sadly that is a fragment of the main bearing/shaft ceramic seal.

Not available as a spare part AFAIK.

Main bearing failure is likely to occur soon, to be honest the machine is BER. 🙁

Not seen one close up yet but looking at Partfinder I can see a bearing but no drum shaft, only complete drum.

    Anyone know different?

I suspect that a lot of this gunk is soap and dirt which doesn’t get dissolved with our regular 30/40 degree washes. In fact, we never do anything hotter at all.

THIS is just one of the reasons that our washing machine does at least one 60C wash EVERY week, as well as helping to keep the machine clean, fresh smelling and gunge free. 😉
