Re: Hotpoint BHWM129 Flashes and does not open

3 phase motor so not the common worn brushes problem.

Could just be the door interlock itself failing, can be caused by poor wiring connections to motor but that would cause problems at the start as well.

When you say ‘all the lights’ is it really all of them? The error codes on this machine are given by flashing ALL of the horizontal lights which you can ignore. The right hand vertical row of lights are used for the error codes, the lights are numbered from BOTTOM to TOP using the bottom five lights, so DOOR LOCK is light 1, END is light 2 and so on.

A combination of these will be on steady to show an error code.

No Cliff, just can’t understand why it only affects the Daily A 60 programme?

Don’t have the codes for this but I have found out that F08 is ‘supposed’ to be O/C heater . 😉

Nothing new under the sun as they say, wasn’t the Reason machine supposed to have water filled weights?

Re: Bosch washers not resetting after F21 error

Very true, I have never cleared one first time, had several that were real bar stewards,

To back up Tim’s observations I once had one that would not clear, had to leave it to get to my next call but showed the customer the reset procedure. She tried it a few hours later and it cleared at the second attempt. 🙁

They should contact you to arrange for the modification to be done or offer a replacement.

Then you should not be using it at all. The manufacturer, the fire brigade, trading standards etc all state that these dryers should NOT be used AT ALL until modified or exchanged.

You should register it at once on the Indesit web site.

    Re: Hotpoint dishwasher Aquarius FDL570

Do you mean it is full of water and won’t empty or it will not fill?

Is the start button also flashing or just the three right hand lights (ignore salt and rinse aid lights)?

If it is just wash, dry, end then that is ‘supposed’ to be a faulty fill turbine but it doesn’t usually make a noise.

Re: Testing a drain pump on a dishwasher

Some cheap multi meters won’t show continuity on certain components.

As for resistance then the make and model of the appliance would be a help.

If the reading you are giving is in ohms then that is about right for most pumps.

Pumps don’t fail electrically that often, it is far more likely to be a supply fault or a physical fault in the pump.

Re: Hotpoint BHWD129 Washer Dryer – Non-Functional on Door C

Worth having a look at the door interlock and its connecting plug, a known weak point.

Failing that then it does point to a main pcb failure. 🙁
