There is another thermostat situated in the drum front surround, not easy to access though. Only used on certain models, would need your full serial number to verify.

Has this machine had the fire safety recall modification done?

No such model number, is it silver by any chance, that would make it a WD12S, 😉
That connector is mainly for the fill valves which very rarely ( never seen one ) cause this problem, the dryer fan motor which again is not likely to cause this plus the door switch which is a very common cause of board failures.

Also worth noting that this machine was very prone to leaking from the dryer assembly down onto the PCB another common cause of this fault.

The two stats are not the same, one is the cycling (temp control) stat, the other is the TOC or thermal cut out safety stat which is a ‘one shot’ device.

This dryer is subject to the major fire safety recall, has it been done?

With the pulley as badly worn as that you should change both pulleys as a pair.

I have attached a (very) crude diagram of the belt and pulley positions I did some years ago. This was for a vented dryer but the routing is the same on a condenser dryer, just much more difficult to get the pulleys back on.

    Re: Hotpoint WMD960 Leaking

Very common fault that entailed numerous design changes to the dispenser drawer and chamber. At one time you could get a complete assembly but now you have to order all the parts individually. 🙁
Full serial number and commercial code needed to identify correct parts.
Some times turning the water pressure down and adjusting the front feet to give a very slight backwards lean does the trick.

Buy a new machine, fault on main circuit board much to expensive on this machine. 🙁

The other thing that annoys me is people who have small led lights all along the plinths in fitted kitchens, a real PITA trying to work with all that wiring all over the floor. 🙁

If the control knob starts to turn round after setting a cycle then it has gone into error mode.
When the knob is clicking round the doorlock or mains light will flash a set number of times and then pause and repeat. You need to count the number of flashes and report back. Unless it flashes 8 times, if it does that you would be better looking for a new machine. 🙁

    Re: Hotpoint LFT114UK F02 error

Well if someone with over 40 odd years experience told me that the water turbine is the most common cause of the error codes I was getting I would be minded to think they may have a good chance of being on the right track. 🙁

But then you have messed around with the pressure switch for no good reason so feel free to press on with whatever you deem to be the cause of the problem. :rolls:

I’m guessing it’s part 150 on this diagram George. 😉
