Were you in airframe maintenance? Didn’t work on any Comet (Nimrods) I hope. 😯

Would have thought it was under five years old, throw it back to the Indesit Company. 😥

Cheers Martin, apparently she had someone out to it six months ago with exactly the same results, he told her it may be a loose fan. 😕

Re: indesit IS70 T/D tripping on high heat only

I have edited the thread title to correct model number, no model 1570 😉

Could be faulty element or wiring to one half of the element shorting to earth. full examination with correct test equipment is the only way to find out.

Plug out if you intend to proceed, or try the link below to see if we have someone who can help.

Unfortunately that error code indicates a faulty eeprom or module.

It depends on the age of the machine as to whether the eeprom can be replaced or if it will need a complete module. Not a DIY fix. In view of the many variations in this models software, together with the fact that the only people who have the laptops and software/hardware to reprogram these modules are the Indesit Company engineers, I think your best option is to call them out.

All parts will be free under your five year parts guarantee, the only drawback is the near £90.00 labour charge.

Does the latest user manual that is sent out to all new customers include the recent advice regarding resetting the machine after an OOB condition if the controls ‘lock out’ ?

At present I give all new customers a slip with the reset procedure on it.
