The 180724 metering tank to sump rubber hose on early Hotpoints was a common mouse target, strangely, they always chewed it in exactly the same spot.

No mention of last error codes in WMA62/3 manual.

Sounds like a possible bad contact on motor harness :con:

Just goes to show how misleading some of these codes can be, although if there is poor water flow the heater circuit could be interrupted.

A good idea to rinse the dishes well before putting them in the machine.

    Sorted.

As soon as I found that the pump kept running when I opened the door I knew the area I needed to look at.

The customers cat had brought a fieldmouse in last week, still alive and as cats are prone to do, let it go.

It has found its way into the dishwasher and chewed the polystyrene float. It had somehow managed to push all the crumbs of polystyrene under what was left of the float and jammed the switch. A quick vac out and fault was cured. No sign of the wee beastie though.

The manual lists AL05 twice, once for each fault. ❓

The ‘pressure sensor’ is that small doofer just above the circ pump, not the pressure switch.

This is a Bosch produced machine, decent quality unlike the recent Indesit produced, Hotpoint badged stuff, however it is a difficult machine to access, not really a DIY machine to be honest. The top, both sides, the door and the inner tub have to come off to access the heater box for a start.
Heater faults can be caused by wiring breaks, control module faults, low water flow, heater, stats etc.

Would strongly suggest trying the link below to see if we have someone who can help.

Count me in, I need a day away, ( I need a month away really, in fact I could kick the whole thing in the head and go to the beach if I could afford it 😥 )

NTC open or short circuit. The heater temperature sensing device (NTC) is the small ‘probe’ that is pushed through the heater mounting plate. Could be bad connections between board and NTC.

The connectors on these boards are rather weak. 😥

Common fault on this Candy machine, hose has been superceded by a plastic corrugated hose, part number 91620000, e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick, difficult to refit the top end, please be sure to remove the plug before working on the machine. Due to the moulded shape of the original hose and the fact that the ends are of different diameters then anything other than the correct hose would be a waste of time.

    Jim.

In fact the hose you require is in the shop here. http://tinyurl.com/2o8le3

Don’t worry about that old picture, chances are you will receive the later modification.

    Try this,

Turn power button off (not at wall)
    Select 90 degree wash
Press Start and Cancel button down at same time for 3 seconds and turn power button on whilst still holding buttons down – Start light will flash.
    Leave power on.
    Select any Spin position.
Press Start and Cancel button at same time again for 3 seconds – other buttons may start to flash – if they do, press Start and Cancel button together again for 3 seconds.
Machine should be re-set ready for use.

AL05 Can also be Filters blocked.

Possible causes, Mesh plate, filter or microfilter, pressure sensor.

    (Apparently) 😥

Part number is 1601940, more than likely just a straightforward failure.

E-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk giving that number should do the trick.

I think lotusray’s post on page #2 covers this 100 bit timer, but it lists them by number. The neons can have different names on the Hotpoint models so by number is the best way.

    Jim.

NB. Prewash + Wash neons on one Hotpoint variant are 1+2. Drain timeout.
