    Re: Hotpoint CTD00P

From the brief information you have given I would respectfully suggest you step back. There are no brushes in this machine. If you remove lots of screws that you really shouldn’t you will have a very hard time putting it back together. Side panels are the initial access points on these machines.

First unplug from mains, then remove the top and check if the belt is still round the drum. If it is, can you hear a faint humming noise when switched on?

May be better to see if we have someone who can help, click the link in my sig to check if we have an engineer in your area.

Why would you want to replace it, it is still covered by Hotpoint’s 5 year parts warranty, something that you will not be able to claim on if you ‘mess it up’ 🙂

Re: Error code on hotpoint Aquaruis WF430P

Strange at it may seem, this is supposed to signify a pump or draining error. :rolls:

These codes are at best a guide, they are not bombproof but do point you in the right direction.

One thing you may be able to do yourself is to check the pump and sump hose filter for obstructions.
Remove the mains plug before you touch anything, the pump is down at the back, follow the grey plastic pipe to locate, blockages common in large black rubber hose. Arm yourself with a few towels if you attempt this.

If you do not think you can do this click the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help, also worth noting that you are covered for all parts for 5 years under Hotpoint’s 5 year parts warranty.

Not so ‘good for you’ :rolls: A word of warning, don’t go out and leave this dishwasher on. There has been more than one instance of this type of temporary repair leading to a fire in the dishwasher console panel on this model range.

Should the worst happen, your house insurance would be unlikely to cover you for any damage resulting from this repair. :lesson:

I’ve got a glass hammer & two buckets of steam if anybody wants them. 😆

Sad to say this is not an Indesit in a skirt, deep inside its rapidly diminishing gene pool are the remnants of a Creda, first corrupted by an unhappy liason with Hotpoint, then dragged right down into the gutter by Indesit. 😥

Just been to a Hotpoint WF washer in a hairdressers today, second time in less than ten weeks to pull all the hair out of the sump filter.

Have to agree with jj 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, you have to admire, or perhaps not, management that turned GEC’s shares from around £12 each, to virtually worthless in less than two years. 👿 😥

    Moved to Trade Spares 😉

That part has been obsolete for almost 5 years now. Doubt you will get a new one, an old one of a scrapper is your only real hope.

    Please read this, http://tinyurl.com/o5mq6

BTW, they are thermostats, not thermistors, pressing the base of the ‘one shot’ green spot safety stat has caused it to fail, it will not reset.

Try this, press and hold the Start/Reset button until you hear three beeps. Then press and hold On/Off & Start/Reset together until you hear three beeps. Hopefully this will clear the problem, failing that a swift kick in the side whilst cursing the spaghetti munchers who made this machine( Indesit) may not improve matters but it may make you feel better. Great food, shabby appliances. 😥

    Re: Hotpoint WMA32 – Smoke & Flooding!

Don’t waste your time, that heater part is the wrong number, the heater in a WMA is set much lower than in the WM machine that uses a 1602026.
If your drum has hit the heater then just bin it, it will already have done serious damage to the outer drum as well. You will find it almost impossible to remove the old bearings, you won’t have the correct tools for replacing the new ones in the very unlikely event that you do get them out. Then you will have to try and remove the bolts holding the drum spider to the drum, cast iron certainty you will have to drill them out so you will also need new bolts, and some very hard drill bits. 😉

    Bearing kit is a 1604473, list price around £21 + vat, heater is a 1603298 £26 + vat

If you purchase all these parts there is still a 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance you will be unable to complete this repair.

Life is to short, go and have a beer instead, you know it makes sense.

You have been warned. 😉 😀

I once had a customer that had this problem, in fact after the third visit to remove hairgrips from her machine and no doubt fed up with my constant hectoring, she told me that the hairgrips were in fact not hers, they came from her husbands shirt pockets, he used them to poke wax out of his ears. 😯 😆
