ModeratorRe: ISE goes public / MD update
Hi John, not altogether sure about a commercial machine. not something I repair and if I am being honest not something I want to get involved with personally.
I am however asked on several occasions by customers, including the few ISE ones that I have about a tumble dryer, even one or two queries regarding dishwashers.
Whilst I am not privy to the financial ‘negotiations required’ I would have thought that a dryer at least was the next logical step.

ModeratorRe: Indesit Washing Machine WI 101(UK) 8 Flashes
8 flashes is very common, and one of the hardest to cure, supposed to be relay, in reality, it can be PCB, wiring, pressure switch etc. Other than sending the board to EMW to test the only other advice I can give is to run a mile. 😥

Best to wait until you get the new basket, then if it still persists you will have to complain louder, why not tell Indesit because that is what it is under the skin, not renowned for build quality these days sadly:cry:

I may be wrong, but I think the NTC comes with the control card 😕
I seem to remember trying to find this for someone else a while back, not had to use one myself. If so then there are two different ones depending on serial number.
Before 41119.0000 card is C00143207 cost £47.50 plus vat.
After 41119.0001 it is C00111886 cost £16.00 plus vat. Some warning about not discarding the old card until you have verified that fault is cured. Apparently if there is an underlying fault the new card will not come of the factory test cycle and you will have to refit the old card to get it back to a ‘working fault mode’ how damned silly is that.

ModeratorRe: ARISTON MARGHERITA 2000
Think you will find its an AWD12S 😉
Tilt it back against a wall or the kitchen units and prise off the plastic kick strip. you should find the pump filter behind this. Get a few towels handy then unscrew and remove anything that you find in there, shine a torch inside to make sure the pump impellor is clear. Mains plug out at all times please.

Can you post the full model number, not the name ? In the mean time, dig out your instruction book, you know the one that you stuffed in the drawer the day you got the machine and have not seen since. 😉 If you do find it have a look at the instructions for checking/cleaning the pump filter.
Until we know your exact model number we will not be able to tell if your machine has a user accessible filter or not.
NB. The pumps on these machines are not expensive but it is almost certainly an Indesit, so you don’t want to spend a lot of money on it.

Possibly easier if you tell us what parts you are looking for Clive.

Its a pity they stripped all the GE machine references from Partfinder.
I couldn’t view the initial pictures, even though I turned down the cookie & pop up blockers.
I can now see something that I, like Martin, am very familiar with. 😉
I just happen to have a spare inner drum plus all the other bits in my garage, don’t suppose there is a chance of an expenses paid service call, 8)Jim.

ModeratorRe: hotpoint wd ripping
One very common cause, which the customer will no doubt deny, is overloading.
I also try to adjust the feet so that the machine has a very slight backwards tilt, this helps to stop the clothes tumbling into the door seal, which then causes them to be dragged round the drum lip, catching on the seal etc.

We already know the answer to that, rear bearings are failing for fun, even wearing through the later bronze type with ease. 😥

Drain/Sump hose is fine, its just the light from my flash making it look discoloured.

Are you from Oz Henry, if so we could move this post to the Aussie forum, someone there may recognise your model number.
