The vented one is a doddle, with the correct tool, goatboy uploaded a picture of that some time ago. The condensor one is a little more difficult.

As a 7 days a week Telegraph reader I will look out for it, normally only get through the Sport, Motoring, Money, Business supplements and the main paper before the arms give out on me. 😉

PS. Don’t let our feathered friend know I read the Telegraph, come the revolution he may shop me to the commissars. :rolls: 😆

Well if I wanted to be reeeeeally picky and risk having my new found European forum mod status revoked 😉
I would mention this line,
the washing is tossed into the machine in no particular order or with much of any care.nicer would be, ‘in no particular order and without much care’. IMHO of course. 😀
Very good though. 99 out of 100 8)

I’m sure it is just an oversight 😉 but for some reason I don’t seem to have my powers in the European forum. Can those of you more privileged than me remove the duplicate post from rodric in the Indesit WIL123 thread.
Thank You.

Hi rodric, led 3 flashing is supposed to indicate that the thermistor, or water temperature control is faulty. However the fault codes on these budget priced Indesit machines can often be misleading. The noise needs investigating first. you should check that there is nothing in the drain pump or filter. With the machine unplugged, tilt it back against a wall and remove the plastic strip along the bottom edge. If your machine has a filter you will see it at the bottom right. Place something to catch the water underneath and remove the filter, look inside to see if there is anything inside the pump.
If you do not find anything in the pump or filter then it may be time to contact a local engineer, or invest in a German made machine. 😉
Jim.
PS. Are you in Germany ?

ModeratorRe: WMA Rinse aid puzzler
Thanks guys, I did suspect something like that but the dispenser does look clean, I would have thought that once the water level in the compartment had reached the top it would start to syphon regardless of the pressure of the water coming in.
New dispenser is not that expensive so I may give that a try.

Unfortunately I fear that may not be much use to the OP, I suspect he/she may be in Germany.
Moved to European forum.
rodric, can you tell us which neon (diode) is flashing by number from the left, 1, 2, 3 or 4 ?

n9eav wrote: Also there were 3 bolts missing on the three pronged thing at the back of the drum. Quality build for you!!!
This is common and is not a fault, one bolt in each arm is enough, in fact you could say that two in each is over engineered, 😉 At a guess around 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the ones I see do have 6 bolts fitted. I replaced a drum support spider on a German made AEG last week that had corroded and snapped due to low temp washes with liquid detergents, that only has 3 securing bolts. The original water seal on the WMA model was badly designed, ( my guess is that Hotpoint did not actually design this seal) causing premature bearing failure, its replacement, the Rubena seal has been very reliable in comparison, the actual drum support spider used in these machines is one of the strongest in current use.Jim.
