Will the new site be hosted on the same servers, it doesn’t matter what it looks like if it keeps timing out or crawling as slow as ukwg’s has in the past few days. 😥

Removing the door seal (collar) from the cabinet will not allow you to see into the drum, removing the door seal from the outer drum will not allow this either, but if you do remove the seal, be prepared for trouble. You will find it very, very difficult to replace.

Almost all technical information is covered by manufacturers copyright so you will not be able to get detailed, exploded drawings.

In view of your earlier posts, I strongly advise you to get some pro help.

If the machine is only 6 months old as you say call Samsung help line and have it repaired under warranty. If the person sent does not have it on the van, it only takes a day or two to come.

Would suspect that depends on how the ‘tear’ got there Bill. 😉

Yes, but number 2 was the main enforcer, hence the connection to the mods. 8)

    Sarah,

Part number of element is a 1701584., the thermostat kit ( fails at a ratio of about 100 to 1 to elements) is a 1701583.

spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to source these. Or follow these links, for heater.. http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/product_ … cts_id=358 for thermostats kit..
    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/product_ … ucts_id=78
    Jim.

PS. If you do need the element then you have got lucky, the one you need is around £25/£30 + vat. The earlier one is over £50 + vat.

Two different elements fitted to this model. We would need full serial number, or at least the first two numbers of same to ID correct part.

If your hubby does have the required experience, why not get him to test the element and thermostats first, with the power off of course. 😉

As the OP said, “its a Bosch” There is a basic diagnostic test (very basic) for this machine and just 3 error codes.
Will try to sort some info out for you later, but I am a bit tied up ATM.

Wait until you get older and the old photosensitive reflex kicks in, 😉

To bright, to white. 8) I will just have to put my shades on. 😆

PS. Why is there all that wasted space on either side of the screen?

That’s my spelling/poor typing skills, what we really want to know about are functional errors or bits that just dont’ look/feel right. 😉

Yep, said it once already, far to ‘white, lots of sites have similar sized empty borders but most have some sort of fill in colour. With the page background being white and the borders on both sides taking up over a third of the screen it looks washed out to me. Even the slight hint of a pastel shade would make a huge difference IMHO.

Partfinder still lists the inner drum as available on this machine, not sure if she even mentrioned the small split in the drum. Machine is much younger than 8 years.
