Arsenal originally asked for £25M for Cole, £5M plus Gallas is a canny deal :rolls: Put your hand on your heart ( no crossing your fingers greg) and tell me that you think Gallas is worth £20M, “your avin a larf” 😛

I thought the Andorrans looked good on paper, Viera, Ayala, Sanchez, Silva, Garcia etc…seems like it was the wrong paper, it should have been toilet paper 😆

Possible heater fault, quite common on these.

The list whilst not endless could as you say be many things, motor, door lock, heater, wiring, pump etc, etc.

If you do not know a local engineer, try the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help. It would be impossible to second guess the cost of a repair for the reasons I have already given you.

    Re: machine’s reaction when overloaded?

As a general rule, you should be able to put a clenched fist or a hand vertically above the dry load in the drum.

The main problem with overloading is poor wash results due to the clothes having no room to tumble.

jnwst has e-mailed me a picture, not a pretty sight. The machine does have 1701583 stats. The one shot has been discarded, the two orange wires to that have been swapped onto the cycling stat, the wires from that have been joined together. 😥 :rolls:

I have supplied him with the information he will need to correct this bodge up.

here is one of the pics. 😯

You can get free caller ID now from BT. If a call is coming in from outside the UK it desplays “International” so you can reject it 😀

I vill say siz only vonce, ( although I have said it many times before 😆 )

I am on NTL. No caller ID of any kind on the local platform, we have got VOD (video on demand) on the telly now though, it is brilliant. 8)

Thermostat kit is a very common 1741124, the most likely culprit. however it could be the element or the timer. Checking with the correct test equipment is the only way to be certain.

Stat kit can be found here. http://tinyurl.com/jyjoc

Model number not recognised, 1069 comes up as 1069G, a Cannon gas cooker. 😯 No 1069W

Can you find any numbers on a label on the back?

I have been registered with TPS for a long time but still get a fair number of cold calls. most of these originate from outside the UK although they won’t admit it when you ask, and are not covered by TPS unfortunately. 😥

Not much use round these parts, the top of the support tube rots away very badly in our soft water, same as drum supports. I would guess I use to around 40 a year for well over 25 years, no wonder I found support tubes easy. 😉

Re: Need HELP in Poland with dryer!

There are 15 Clartronic models listed on our UK parts ID software. ( under EXPORT Martin 😉 ) I suspect that your model number is a 37685 or a 37692 UK model WT6010, is it a condensor dryer? If it is a 37686 then its UK model number is WT6030. Some of these numbers appear to be at odds with our software but the stats are the same for all this model range.

It should have two stats and the burnt bits you have could be the remnants of the second stat.

There are two different thermostat kits depending on the age of your machine. This can be found be checking the first two numbers of the serial number. If this ‘date code is 65 or higher then you need a 1701883 stat kit. If it is 64 or lower you need a 1701557.

Both can be obtained from this site if you cannot source them locally.

PS. I suspect you have problems finding a plumber as well, they are all over here. 😀

I seem to remember the turret replacement and spider/seal job on these machines being a nightmare job – haven’t (fortunately) had to do one for 10 years ++. Any removal and replacement advice appreciated. 😀

Seal kit is/was 151100 still have one in garage, 151123 pump is actually reboxed pattern pump. 😥

Changing support tube is not that difficult, easily under the hour.

A real pity they have been obsolete for two or three years now. I have loads of these machines still hanging on, surprised that nobody came up with a pattern alternative, long term.
