Re: WHIRLPOOL AWM6145/3 – STICKS WITH 1MIN ON DISPLAY

Just had one of these today, she says she thinks she once saw FH ( no fill ) but recently it has got to the end of spin and stuck with 1 min on display and she can hear a clicking noise which she thinks is the door. If she then sets it to Drain it will complete that cycle, switch OFF and the door can then be opened.

I set the machine to spin and it went straight through the full 15 minute cycle and switched OFF perfectly. 😕

I did notice that on checking the filter it apppeared to be well gunged up with soap residue, wondering if a partial pressure hose blockage could be the cause of this fault. ❓

PS. Just reading the first post, apparently this one switches off the main motor & pump and just leaves the ‘clicking’ noise.

Element for that one is a C00094715.
It has a hole for the NTC.

Does it look anything like this monstrosity http://tinyurl.com/zskej

BS is used for recent ‘Big Size’ machines, never heard of a BS1620 though. 😕

Pity I don’t have an account with them, (yet) one or two places have listed it as obsolete but it isn’t that old.

Serial No is 60400016, circulation pump is fine, no resistance to turning manually. In fact I am certain that the circulation pump is actually running for a short period before it stops altogether.

I knew I had seen that somewhere Chris, was going to have a look for it after my tea, just put it in the oven, a large rainbow trout, in white wine with capers. This hospital visiting plays havoc with my schedule.

    Thanks.

Thanks for that, when you say older models this customer seems to be under the impression that it is not that old but I guess they could be mistaken.

Door seal kit is 1801570 list price £31 + vat. Not sure if what you describe as lower seal is in fact called a drip guard, if so it is 1801629 £12+vat.

Remember that a spilt in the lower spray arm is a very common cause of leaks on these machines.

    Moved to Trade Spares.

According to Partfinder there are two different heaters for this model, it does not say that they are interchangable. You will need a serial number to correctly identify the right part.

Phone the police and tell them there is a suspect package at that address. 😀

On a more serious note you need to ascertain how many times it is flashing, if she says 8 times, say your prayers. 😥

PS. CAPS LOCK OFF, please 8)

    Re: Hotpoint DC27 Dishwasher

It suggests that the base is flooded. Place a couple of towels by the side and tilt the machine part way to one side or backwards. If you get water coming from underneath this will confirm a flooded base.
You could then try the machine again but if the fault returns you will have to get the machine looked at because it will be leaking. Water in the base can also be caused by using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets.

Plug out if you decide to open the patient up please.

Kevin, I have moved this into the Trade Tech forum, best to keep this stuff away from the Public forums. 😉
