Re: Ariston AVSL 100X, 2 + key flashing error code

Difficult to ID a comparable UK model, nearest fault codes are lights 1 + 3 flashing F10, pressure switch not sensing.

Could be partial blockage in pressure hose, faulty pressure switch, faulty control module or a combination of these. (plus a few others) The fact that you have to switch off at the mains does suggest a module fault though.

The Indesit electronics used in these machines are renowned for their vagaries, it can often mean a slow and frustrating process of elimination, with the mains plug removed of course. :zap:

Fault codes are in the Known Error codes thread. Page three 😉

Going out tomorrow to a Hotpoint machine under six months old.

Customer has been told she will have to wait until the 16th of June for the Indecent Company 😥

Young mum expecting again in next couple of days.

Latest ‘Which’ survey puts Dyson at the bottom of the pile yet again.

It has come last for the past seven years in a reliabilty survey.

More than 3 in 10 owners said that their upright cleaners needed repairs after six years.

The survey found the best performers were by Sebo, LG, Panasonic & Electrolux.

Or from top to bottom (WD420) 😉

If the neons are Reduced Creases & Time Saver that is F05. pressure switch stuck on full.

As Martin suggests, eliminate the simple things first, check for sump or pump blockage or failure.

Are you sure about that model number, is that taken from the rating plate or near the barcode labels on the back?

AVSL 100X not recognised on UK models list that I have. 😕

Re: Door question – Ariston Margherita 2000 A1435

If the model is an A1435UK then the part you need is an 065250 handle kit, white.

If it is an A1435SUK then you need an 074199 handle kit silver. An e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk is all you need to get things moving.

    Rather tricky to refit however.

Other possible cause could be door switch, or breaks in the harness near the hinge, after that you really need a wiring diagram, something that you will not be able to obtain by legitamate means. 😥

The heater comes on just after the dispenser opens so it may not have heated the water.

    Live testing not recommended 😉

Don’t worry about it, it took me quite a while to find it again, and I posted it. 😆
I actually used to remove the top balance weight and the large razor sharp bracket that goes right across the back to avoid the inevitable blood loss until I saw the light. 💡

It should be giving error messages if pump had jammed though, worth a try all the same.

You mean you have never heard of Watchdog’s, “Hotpoint Washing Line of Shame” 🙂

Although they did improve it towards the end, the Hotpoint Washer/Dryer has always had a tendancy to rip clothes. It used to feature on Watchdog every other week some years ago.

Difficult to pin down, particularly as the customer says “it is getting worse”. Overloading is a common cause although they will insist that they don’t 😉 .
I also try to give the machine a slight backward tilt if possible, a forward tilting machine can often cause this.
