Really, I have done three calls this morning, have 5 after dinner. I did 10 on Good Friday.
Better than sitting in a bank holiday traffic jam or going round garden centres, roads deserted in the mornings and it means I am not overloaded on Tuesday. 🙂

ModeratorRe: Creda Model 48331 . . . main oven not working
Element failure is the most likely cause. If you isolate from the mains and look inside you should see a plate at the back secured by four screws, remove this and you will see the element. In most cases you can see obvious physical damage to the element, it will have swollen or burst, or twisted.
Element failure can sometimes lead to oven control damage.
The part number for the element is 6204370. You can click on the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help or send an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for help.
Please make sure the mains switch is OFF at all times when you have your head or hands inside.
Jim.

I tell my customers…
“Unless you’ve been playing rugby, always use the quick-wash button.”
I always tell mine, to avoid using, Quick Wash, Economy Wash, Time Saver Options, unless they are freshening up clean clothes. The overuse of those three options together with over dosing with detergents ( mainly liquids ) is IMHO the main reason for the high failure rate of alloy drum supports and smelly drums in this ultra soft water area.
As soon as I see a WM with the economy button selected I know that in most cases it is always left like that and the drum support will be shot.

Had a few loose tacho’s, checked this one, it was fine. If the tacho is loose you usually see some motor action, even if it is out of control. I did suspect pressure switch problems but it filled, rinsed and did the final spin perfectly twice, after I had attended to the brushes.
will report back if I get a recall. 🙂

Strange, I have nine ISE machines installed and not one complaint of this nature ❓
In fact not one complaint…………….yet. 🙂iadom
ModeratorRe: Poor wash complaints, new Hotpoint
You can always tell if the towels have had fabric conditioner on them, water just runs off.
I have only just spoken to her on the phone, not actually seen the clothes. Also advised her to contact Hotpoint if she was still unhappy.
I will ring her and see if she can post some pics, I did point her in this direction. 😉
Super Rinse would be better than Extra Rinse, in theory it should fill to a higher level on all rinses.

Be sure to keep the condensor clean, and avoid switching the dryer off in mid cycle when it is hot, two common causes of stat failure.

We cannot go into chapter & verse for safety and legal reasons, remove the mains plug and take off the small cover at the back, about eight or ten screws.

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint TC71 foam seal
TC71 is a lot older than 18 months, it was either old stock or yours was a CTD, different model altogether. The stats have always been available on their own for TC range. The front panel is not secured with screws to the side panels in any shape or form, the side panels locate on three plastic pegs at the front and three screws at the back plus one underneath on TC models, on CTD models three screws at the back and one at the top front edge.
