    Re: Indesits Partfinder

I don’t know of any way that this can be done, although in theory it should be possible. However if anyone does, please use e-mail or PM to discuss rather than the forum. 😉

I’m still waiting for a certain someone 😉 to suggest drilling a large hole in the drum, poking a hose in to syphon then, filling the hole with plastic putty. 😆

Thanks Dave, I think I may go back and lever it out 😥 and have a look first.
I have to return to fit a regulator to the grill in the Creda oven. Is there an alternative to a 6226105 regulator. 😉

    Re: Belt for Hotpoint TS12

You will be convinced that you have been given the wrong belt, it is a very tight fit and indeed the Hotpoint engineers have a special tool to aid refitting. It is possible to fit without this tool, but if you get stuck try the link in my sig to see if we have someone in your area who can help. Plug out at all times of course. 😉

I just use a small flat bladed right angle screwdriver to depress the GDA brush holder securing lug then slide them out, without having to remove the motor, all of two seconds a side. 🙂

As they say round these parts, ” two heads are better than one, even if its a sheeps head” 😆

The belt you need is a 1702342. I cannot see it in the shop but an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick.

    Very difficult belt to refit.

When the control knob starts to click round, the mains indicator light should flash a set number of times then pause, then flash the same number again and again. If it is flashing you need to count the flashes and report back as this is an error code, not always a reliable one but it may give us some idea.

Now we know why Kens face was in that state on the Saturday morning at the NEC. He really had been at the PC all night. 😆

F13 is a dryer NTC or fan fault. It could be as simple as a broken wire or it may be a faulty fan motor. Please remove plug if you intend to investigate or click on the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.

I would tilt back as far as possible, almost flat then using a small pan, ladle the water out through the door, or syphon out, with the machine laid back. When you have removed most of the water this way then tilt the machine forward far enough to allow the sump to be removed without the water pouring out.

    Re: Repairs@ Update

Is the ‘randomization’ the reason why if I put my own post code in the repairer at the top of the list is not myself but someone in Ashton several miles away. 😥 My next door neighbour wouldn’t be impressed.

As I have yet to receive a single call from Repairs@ no doubt due to the Luddites around here 😉 I just wonder how many calls in this locale if any, have gone to the Ashton business?

EDIT. Perhaps it would be a good idea to give some idea of our approximate address, for instance in my case, just Shaw,Oldham would suffice.

Make sure it is Ariel powder or tablets in the green box, the liquid or Ariel Color powder or tablets do not contain bleach which should help the cleaning process.

    Re: Washing Advice Needed Urgent

Try a maintenance wash with a good quality detergent such as Ariel, run the machine on hottest wash possible usually 95° with a normal dose of detergent without clothes in. Leave the door open after use, the smell should die down in time.
