ModeratorRe: Indesit WG1130T Drum Noise
Two different drums on this machine, depends if it is a WG1130TG, TGT or TPG. The two springs are the only supports at the top. Is the drum completely smooth and quite when you turn it by hand ? Back to front movement when pushed is normal. Are the concrete balance weights on top and around the front of the drum secure ? Be sure to remove the plug before looking inside.
Diagrams are copyright I’m afraid, so we cannot post them on open forums.

Let us know how you get on, the ‘stuff’ I sent you appears to have helped cooky2 with his WMA64 problem about 20 posts down. 🙂

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint CTD80 stats
😳 Its on the CTD80 diagram as well, I was following number 558 instead of 521, but it still gives the complete heater/backplate kit. Confusing or what. 😥
Thanks Dave.

ModeratorRe: Partfinder DVD
Sadly the last three or four at least have only run for six months. 😥
had a look at some old cheque stubs. Paid £76.38 for Partfinder on 13/3/05..again on 3/09/05…If you think about it, issue 6 is due. They started with Version 1 to replace the original GDA versions when all the Indesit parts where included just under 3 years ago.

ModeratorRe: creda continental twin fan oven
No fuses inside the cooker that could cause this, In most cases you can see physical damage on the element but not always. You cannot see/test the upper oven elements without dismantling the cooker. Also the controls and even door switches themselves can cause ‘no heat’ problems. If you have not got suitable test equipment and electrical competence, I would strongly advise you to seek help from someone who has. Try the link in my sig. Power off if you intend to proceed yourself.

My father has just had his 80th birthday and has in the last week taken his first flying lesson (Birthday Present). In my book there is no such thing as an old git (your words) definitely not mine.
It was said with tongue firmly lodged in cheek, as the 40 year old policeman I ran around the squash court last night will testify, I am not ready for the pipe & slippers just yet. However you seem to miss the point. Whilst I am always willing to learn, and take up new ideas, the reference to my age was to do with retirement. Even if I manage to, or even want work until I am 65, given P45’s estimate of this being introduced in five years would mean a large outlay in time and cost for just two years work, I may be better of retiring at 63. That said I am still very interested in the whole NVQ thing and have in no way dismissed it. I am just weighing up the cost/benefit situation. 🙂

Because that is the point of the NVQ the candidate must firstly want the qualification and secondly be determined to succeed.
Well I am certain that I would be in that category, however, I am 58 years old, any attempt to get funding at my age would almost certainly be laughed at. I have no ‘paper’ qualifications, learning ‘on the job’ with the early help of Hotpoint training schools. I have been a self employed ‘sole trader’ for 27 years, I have not advertised in any shape or form for over 22 years, with a busy work load all of the time, I must be doing something right. I would find it very difficult to take a sustained period of time away from work and the costs involved, even if £2,000 is an upper, ‘guesstimate’ , would give me cause to wonder if it is a worthwhile exercise for an ‘old git’ like myself.iadom

Hi Bryan, I think the site may be ‘sticking’ a bit. I always go via the basket route, it is now recognising that part number, when only ten minutes ago it couldn’t find it. Copied and pasted so I know it wasn’t me typing in the wrong number. 🙂

Thanks for that Clyde, I had missed the ‘light 3’ at the top of the WIDL post and only noticed the one at the bottom of the list. 😳

Thanks Dave, I think I will ring her first. Don’t know what is wrong with the Masterpart web site, when I put the grill part number in yesterday, it came up with the part and all the details, now it comes up ‘no items’ the same thing happened yesterday when I put the part number of that Whirpool pump, 48123615816 in, that also came up ‘no items’ even though they had only sent me one the day before.??
