Dave, have you any Qualtex or other alternatives to those, MP is coming up with £37.00 + vat for the grill element, and £25.50 + for the oven element. 😯

    Re: Site very slow.?

I have always used ZoneAlarm Pro, and my AV is from Authentium, CSAV, used to be Command and is based on the FProt model. I was advised to use this by DAN computers, I bought my first modern PC from them over 10 years ago, such a shame they went down the tubes. They had a policy of top quality components, not the cheapest, but solid, reliable kit with first class backup, now I wonder where I heard that recently 😉
As for Zone Alarm, it can be a bit of a PITA but there is a wealth of support and an excellent users forum, it takes a bit of time and effort to configure but it is well worth it.

As an Ntl customer, they now offer a free AV program called Netguard, which I am using on my new laptop. I have to say it is very easy to use and seems to perform very well.

For advice on cable modems, firewall setups and all related problems, this guy is a must read, guru.

I have e-mailed you the WMA63 test programme. Should work on WMA64 as well.

Re: Ariston A1636 door not locking

It could be a faulty door interlock, or something as simple as a broken door latch or spring.

Power off if you intend to proceed further or click on the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help, should not be to expensive to repair.

    Re: Unknown D/W

This is turning into a bit of a disaster, my suspicions about it being the wrong pump where correct, although there is no /1 anywhere to be seen on the machine.

What kind of bonehead idiots design these things. The leak is coming from a small hose from the circulation pump to the dishwasher sump that has split. It is fixed to the sump by one of those awful clips which is bad enough, but at the other end it is moulded onto the pump outlet. 👿 It seems as though I will have to replace the whole pump for a two inch piece of rubber hose.
Has anyone encountered this fault and managed to find a small hose that would fit, I did manage to remove most of it from the pump by gouging, and cutting it off.

I now need part number for Askoll pump, and if anyone wants a new, boxed 4812361526 circulation pump, I just happen to have one to hand. 😥

Child lock accidentally selected, hold the child lock button for a few seconds and it will clear.

Yep, my new wireless laptop is a wonderful toy, sorry tool 😉

Its amazing how many people have wireless routers and don’t bother, or don’t know how to encrypt their signal. Not sure who the kind person with an open Linksys router is, but thanks anyway. 🙂

This customer has just phoned me and has found the user manual, does an XOU252 mean anything ❓

Makes no difference when there is no grip whatsoever. My last 4 cars have been auto’s, I would never go back to manual. My current car has Geartronic transmission, I can use fully auto or flick the gear lever to manual and flip up and down through the gears as I like.

There is a shaft repair kit that includes screws and a new bearing, part is a 1701662, around £8.50 + vat list price. Not sure if it will fit but I am sure it could be modified. 😉
