    Re: Bosch inlet hose adrift?

I did see a piece of plastic inside the end of the hose, guess that is part of the collar.

Make and model would help, a lot of machines on the market these days have totally sealed drums making most bearing repairs uneconomic.

ALL rinses are cold fill only.

When you pull the washing out as soon as it has finished it should feel cold, if it feels warm then swap the hoses.

Re: Filling problem on Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher

The machine has a two stage fill sequence, initial fill for each programme is controlled by the pressure switch. This is followed by a timed fill of 55 seconds controlled by the timer.

As far as the leak from point B is concerned I can say that I have encountered this on only one occasion on a Bosch dishwasher. In spite of changing both the metering tank and pressure chamber I was unable to eliminate the problem completely. 🙁

Had a trawl through all my files and can’t find a copy, it was a few years ago now, not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure I actually saved one. 🙁
It was only intend to be a last resort fix if the tab had broken off completely.

Will also add that this machine is around 17 to 18 years old at least. 😉

Question is, will you completely indemnify the local engineer if the dryer burns your house down after he has fixed it, or will your own house insurance cover you if you continue to use it after a repair from a non company engineer?

Might be better to push for the new replacement dryer offer at £99 than pay for a repair.

Drilling into wafer thin stainless will be challenging. I bet they don’t include a stainless screw either?

Oh yes they do, there is an official TB, with drill size and part number for the screw. 😛

    Re: drum lifters

If you just push them on they will come right off in no time at all.

Like you I use a small hooked wire but first I carefully push the tab flat and then bend/twist the tab so it sits at a slight angle sloping upwards, towards the back before I push the lifter home.
I then use the wire to try and pull the tab up a little more.

The official fix for a broken tab is to drill a tiny hole in front of the lifter and fit a very short, stainless steel screw through the drum.

    Re: AWOL

I went to the old Wembley in 1999 to watch Oldham Athletic in the Littlewoods Cup Final v Forest, they lost, went to the new Wembley in 2007 I think to watch Rochdale v Stockport in the Div2 play offs, they also lost so I am hoping for third time lucky. 🙂

I will be wearing a bright yellow shirt ,( don’t do team shirts as I object to giving free advertising ) and be sat roughly in the area circled on the left, I’ll give you a wave. :waving:

The correct part number for the control panel unit is C00272610.

As has already been mentioned there is no certainty that this is the cause of the problem. 😉

Give us the full model number and the other numbers and we can tell you exactly what the part number you may need.

Bear in mind that this machine has several weak points, all electronics, main circulation pump, heater, door wiring harness etc.
