ModeratorRe: Hotpoint drum lifters
If the inner drum has a small raised piece to hold the lifters then you want version 2.
Check your e-mails 😉

Dave.
You can always buy a complete drum assy, the last one I ordered had the heater, suspension pegs and 6 torx bolts in a plastic bag. The drum seemed to be secure so I assume it already had bolts in it. 😀iadom

Triton have a very good website, similar to the Bosch one in some ways with full parts diagrams and online ordering etc.
Have done a couple of repairs on my own although I used a solenoid from a W/Dryer condensor valve the last time.

ModeratorRe: Cricket, lovely cricket.
A simple lack of technique against the best fast bowler in the world. Not one England batsman was out to an attacking shot. Trescothick, Strauss, Vaughan and Flintoff all rooted to the spot on the back foot. Pietersen, who is supposed to have a dodgy technique took a huge lunge down the wicket most of the time and rarely looked in trouble.

I have used many Haynes auto manuals in the past. I don’t think I can remember any of them giving me instructions on how to bypass the ignition or the brakes or any other safety features . 😉

Score at lunch, two heads, one elbow, one blow just above the groin, blood spilt.
Oh nearly forgot Aussies 97 for 5. 😀 😀

Well, all the hype is over, it all kicks off today. Put away the pyjamas and get out the whites. Tune in to TMS and turn on the telly, calls, what calls. 😉 🙂

Fitted a power unit on a Hotpoint top loader, put the wrap round cabinet and top surround back on, turned round to pick up the back panel and found it leaning against the inner drum. 😳 😯 🙂
Also remember years ago fitting an inner door liner on a Hotpoint fridge, in the days when the insulation was fibre glass and the door liner was held on by 35/40 screws. The metal door was like a Rolf Harris wobble board without the liner so to make sure the door was square after the new panel had been fitted I used to remove the door from the cabinet and lay it on a table. Manually removed and refitted all the screws only to find that I had fitted the liner upside down. ❗

Cannot see that model number on PF, they all start with CKE, except for five which are NWO or W ??

I found the method recommended by Jimbo2207 to be very effective. An No:8 bullet drill is very quick and clean. Bought mine at B&Q
That was in another thread.
Edit. Found it, post #7 http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … pic&t=4926

ModeratorRe: Hoover ACM 15 won’t spin
Went to one similar to this only two days ago, was surprised to see the ancient control timer with all the wiring on separate amp tags, and basic module in place. Apart from a Hotpoint top loader two weeks ago, I cannot remember the last time I had to change a timer like this.
Machine tumbles in one direction only on wash. On spin starts to turn for a few seconds then motor stops.
Customer found her invoice so advised her to contact Hoover under 5 years parts warranty.
Alan P, does the control timer on your machine incoporate a PCB or has it just got a lot of separate Amp tag connections?
PS. How did you pay for the machine, if you have a cheque book stub and bank account or credit card details then if you push hard enough they should accept that as proof.

The £200 MRC would only apply if the normal cost of the parts and labour are in excess of £200. Unfortunate if the cost comes to £195 😉
Not that anyone would be foolish enough to spend £195 0n a 5 to 10 year old Indesit. 🙄 😆I did say not to be sarcastic, but come on.
