    Re: ISE 1606W pump problem

Has the machine drained out correctly and have you checked the pump filter?

This can also be caused by over soaping, try and do a reset.

    Total reset of programmes

Total reset of the programme must be carried out as follows:
    1. Make sure that the main power switch if off.
    2. Hold the start/stop button (S1) in and start the machine by pressing the main power switch.
    3. Check that any of the LEDs around the programme knob (L7 – L16) light. This indicates that total reset
    has been carried out.

Have you read the bit in the manual about the emergency door release which you can find behind the lower kick strip, front right. Remove the mains plug first and leave it a minute.
If that won’t release it then the doorlock itself, door handle or even the main pcb could be faulty.

They are all in the ISE trade forum, you could ask Ken if you don’t have access.

I would rate accessing and cleaning the pump on this ten times easier than a cars water pump, depending which car of course. 😉

Pump blockages not uncommon on these Indesit dishwashers, chips off plates, pieces of bone, small shards of glass etc.

Do you mean the initial cold fill prewash, the rinses are done at the end of most programmes.

Are the spray arms going round at all? If not then it sounds like the main motor may have seized. If it does spray but not drain then it could be a blockage inside the drain pump itself.

If by R you mean the Rapid programme light then that is a wash or drain pump fault, does it empty if you reset the programme?

Spot on, they added a large resistor of some kind to the pcb wiring, even had a picture of it somewhere on the forums.

Re: Hotpoint DWF 30 Control Module

There is a set up procedure which on this Bosch based machine is done via the control buttons.

You say you can get the module but several of these are obsolete and the ones that are available are listed as well over £100, a bit steep on a machine that ceased production in 2002?

New microswitch required, part number C00118731, you might find it easier to get hold of a complete door latch assembly, part number C00118765, only a couple of pounds dearer.
You will need to replace that badly burnt AMP tag as well.

    Re: ISE level sensor connectors

That is what puzzled me as I thought at first you said you had five wires but you meant five terminals.

The wire to 11 on old switch should go to 11 on new switch, there is an internal link between 11 and 1 on new switch.
