    Re: ISE level sensor connectors

The new switch sounds like an old style two level switch.

Terminals 11/12/13 is one two way switch, terminals 21/22/23 is the other two way switch.

You would need a basic circuit tester to decide which of the two sets of switches is the lower level by very gently blowing into the switch until you hear the first click. It should in theory be switch 11 to 12 normally closed, this should switch to 11 to 13 closed and 11 to 12 open when you hear the first click of the switch. From your old switch the cable from 11 should go to 11 on the new switch, the one on terminal 16 should go to 12 on the new switch and the one on 14 should go to 13 on the new switch.

This only leaves you to sort out the other side of the switch which is the overfill level. Getting these wrong will not cause any damage but looking at the wiring diagram for the 1406 the cable from the old switch terminal 12 should go to 23 on the new switch and the one on terminal 1 should go to 21.

    Wrong model number BTW.

The condenser does get blocked together with the gauze filter down at the bottom.

When the lower lights flash a number of the right hand vertical lights will be on solid, this is an error code, details of which are in the Known Error codes thread. 😉

    Re: Word Count

    Well, 😀

Purely semantics but in the second article, Washing machine fire risks it should say ‘estimate that there ARE’ not that there were. The same line is also used in the 3rd article.

    Common Sense Safety Tips.
Line 4 ‘don’t use in damp conditions and DO on, guess you hit the D instead of the S key.

    3rd article.

    What can go on fire.

Line 6 is missing the word DRYER after tumble.

Line 7 should be ‘based on THE statistics, not THESE statistics.

    Flammable Items On Clothing.

4th line should possibly read read ‘items that caught fire’ not on items that bought light?????

5th line should be FROM not form.

    1. It is recommended that the appliance is not tilted > 45° to gain access to the underneath of the appliance if water is present in the drum as this may also effect the water level readings.
    2. If after any repair to the appliance the machine has been tilted >45° i.e. Tank change – pump/sump hose inspection -Pressure switch hose disconnection, or the Pressure switch has been replaced the Pressure switch must be re-set to zero level.
    3. To achieve a Zero level reading on the pressure switch manually drain all water from the appliance via the drain hose by lowering it into a suitable receptacle, disconnect and re-connect the pressure switch hose, this will allow the switch to zero calibrate.
    To test the appliance:
    Switch machine on.
Open door and fill the drum with approximately 1 Litre of water.
    Close door.
Set appliance to drain then start appliance, pump will then drain the water out. Pressure switch & Module now re-calibrated to zero.
NOTE: If the drum does not have water in it the machine drain pump will not run, even if a pump out programme is selected.

also reprogramming or reset the pcb how do I go about that?

You can’t unless you have an Indesit Company supplied laptop or you want to pay over £120 for a new smart card and card reader.

Re: Indesit IWDC6125 – drain issue

If the component on the pcb that controls the pump is faulty then it will do this.
Also the pressure switches on some of these need resetting if you have tipped them over, or in some cases the pcb needed reprogramming.

    Re: Crusader Condenser Dryer Sensorcare

Have you tested both thermostats electrically first?

If you do actually test the stats and find one or other to be faulty then you will need to give us the full serial number of your dryer as there are two different thermostat kits for this model.

IIf you laid it on its right hand side looking from front then you may have damaged the pressure switch.

Also if the pump had burnt out there is a very strong chance it will have damaged the main pcb.

The reason for a lack of answers is because there really isn’t a definitive one.

Very poor Indesit electronics are prone to all sorts of faults.

    Is the pump filter clear?

An insulation test on both wash heater and dryer heater plus the main motor would be the first thing to do.
